The Clinic Coordinator position is responsible for working and interacting with clients, claimants, and providers to help facilitate examinations in a clinic office setting. They provide information to clients in response to inquiries for IME (Independent Medical Exam) services. Additional duties include but are not limited to, scheduling appointments, faxing, scanning, copying, mailing, and emailing of reports, letters and any other IME related documents. Exam day duties include checking claimants in/out of their exams, chaperoning IMEs, and assisting IME providers with various administrative support. Some travel between different offices around the greater Seattle area is required. Approximately 1-2 times a month. Much of this research is undertaken in the Public Health - Seattle & King County Sexual Health Clinic (SHC) at Harborview Medical Center. The University of Washington Department of Medicine's Division of Allergy and Infectious Diseases has an outstanding opportunity open for a Temporary Research Coordinator. The Research Coordinator primary role is to manage a portfolio of studies related to STI and HIV undertaken in the SHC, including work related to developing study implementation procedures, recruitment, monitoring study progress, data analysis, and work with the UW institutional review board. Current projects include an NIH-funded study evaluating a Treponema pallidum transcription mediated amplification (TMA) assay for syphilis screening, studies of the microbiome, a discrete choice experiment, and a study evaluating a new treatment regimen for syphilis, and a study of HIV PrEP. Ongoing studies in the SHC change over time and we anticipate that the consultant will support new studies as they start and as other studies end. This position is essential in coordinating development and implementation of a spectrum of studies, including study subject recruitment, data collection and management processes for research, and program performance evaluation. The work includes working with investigators and other study coordinators to define study implementation processes and develop IRB applications, helping to design and revise data collection tools, conducting data analysis, and report writing for internal and external partners.
