What You'll Work On
Working under general direction, provides engineering, sales, educational and technical support in response to field inquiries from physicians, health care professionals, patients, and field sales staff, involving EP products. Performs work that involves a high degree of independence. Identifies and routinely uses the most effective, cost efficient and best business practices to execute processes; continually evaluates their effectiveness and appropriateness. As a Clinical Associate on the U.S. Abbott EP team, you will provide clinical and technical support in a hospital setting, utilizing EP technology in the treatment of various cardiac arrhythmias. You will join a high-functioning, collaborative team, partnering closely with physicians and hospital staff to support the diagnosis and treatment of abnormal heart rhythms to achieve better patient outcomes. In this role, individuals will exercise independent judgment in planning, organizing, and performing day-to-day tasks. You will identify and routinely use the most effective, cost-efficient, and best business practices to execute processes, regularly communicating insights, feedback, and results to managers and team. Additional responsibilities include:
Gaining foundational knowledge of EP through a structured training program with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and practical application.
Providing regional EP procedural case coverage in an Electrophysiology lab and/or operating room setting.
Acting as a clinical interface between the medical community and the business.
Demonstrating the ability to build and sustain credible clinical relationships with customers and sharing product expertise accordingly.
Demonstrating a thorough command of all EP products, including technical details, software utilization, and capabilities.
Providing engineering, sales, education, and clinical support on the safe and effective use of Abbott EP products, including cardiac mapping, diagnostic, and therapy systems.
Supporting EP Sales Representatives in the following areas:
Collaborating with sales personnel;
Facilitating regional training seminars;
Participating in clinical studies/data collection;
Troubleshooting; and,
Leading/supporting new product in-service trainings and/or demonstrations to physicians, nurses, and sales representatives.
Continuously develops engineering, sales and technical skills aligned with the overall territory strategy, including learning from senior sales personnel and management.
Staying up-to-date on the latest industry developments, regulatory requirements, and maintains strong knowledge of company and competitor products, market trends, and strategic goals.
Providing management with feedback on market trends and customer insights to inform strategic decisions and guide next-generation product development.

Job Overview: The Intensive Case Management (ICM) Coordinator leads a team of ICM caseworkers to address barriers to safety and wellness for especially vulnerable refugees, asylees, and other ORR-eligible populations. The employee works under the direction of an Investigator(s) with limited supervision, to provide ongoing data management for local and national research studies and may coordinate observational (non-treatment/treatment) trials/studies.
The employee will also work on complex studies in a lead role, under the direction of the Research Manager and the PI.

Develops consent plans and documents for participants.

Understands visit schedules, criteria and protocol requirements for complex trials; schedules research visits, etc.
Completes research protocol related tasks.
Reviews and abstracts information from medical records including eligibility criteria.
Recruits and enrolls patients in research study that may include consenting patients.
Enters data into case report forms or other data collection system based on research study.
Assists with maintenance of study level documentation.
Assists with data queries and possible edits for accuracy.
Compiles data for regulatory requirements and /or deadlines for local or sponsor submissions.
Maintains existing databases and ensures data integrity.
Assists with ordering and maintaining research supplies following university/department procedures, ensuring that equipment is in good working order.
Assists with collecting and processing specimens following established procedures/protocols.
With adequate training/credentialing and supervision, performs study procedures such as phlebotomy, vital signs, and EKG's needed for research study.
Based on research study, other procedures/equipment/services may be required.
May perform patient care (basic skills) under the direction of PI following scope of work document.
Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; b) Directly interacting with or caring for human-subjects research participants; c) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing, or similarly affecting patient records (including patient financial records); or d) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting human-subjects research records.
May provide working supervision or direction of lower level Clinical Research Assistants.
Performs QA/QC clinical analysis and data checks using various databases based on trial.
Assists with preparing annual reports and/or modifications to institutional review board (IRB).
This may include reportable events (UPIRSO).
Assist and prepare research records for formal sponsor audits or internal audits.
Performs other duties as assigned.
