Summary/Objective:
As the Clinical Diabetes Specialist, you are responsible for the promotion and clinical support of Beta Bionics products and services within your assigned geography. You are responsible for managing the training journey for people with diabetes. You will be the main point of contact for the educational needs of the iLet user, healthcare professionals and staff. In partnership with the Territory Business Manager and Inside Sales Specialists, you will develop a targeting and business strategy and develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers. This role requires that you work well in a collaborative environment with the ability to influence cross-functional team success. You must have strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. You will operate with a passion to serve people living with diabetes and our communities.

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000, plus an annual commission target, resulting in an annual earnings target of $128,000 - $148,000. Beta Bionics offers a competitive compensation package that includes equity and comprehensive benefit offerings.

* Successfully completes CRM Field Technical Training - including online and field-based training
* Performs checks/interrogations of all CRM medical device systems post sign-off

Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital is a 763-bed academic medical center affiliated with the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. As an academic facility with a Level I trauma center, this tertiary care institution has numerous post-graduate training programs, including multiple medical and surgical residencies and fellowships. The newly constructed Crystal Spring Tower houses our Cardiovascular Institute (CVI) as well as an expanded Emergency Department. The CVI includes a nationally accredited Chest Pain Center, a Cath Lab which performs over 700 PCIs annually, a Ventricular Assist Device Program, and is considered an Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO) Center of Excellence.
The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist for Cardiology provides comprehensive pharmaceutical care to adult patients in the intensive care unit as well as progressive care telemetry unit to assure safe and effective drug therapy. In this role, they will develop and maintain a clinical practice by participating in bedside rounds and responding to medical emergencies. Additionally, they will provide decentralized pharmaceutical care to non-cardiac, medical intensive care patients within the ICU. The specialist will be a liaison to assist with cardiovascular pharmacotherapy issues for non-intensive care medical cardiovascular services and procedural areas (cardiac catheterization lab, electrophysiology lab, inpatient cardiac team, cardiology consult team, electrophysiology team, advanced heart failure team, structural heart team, and pulmonary hypertension team), as needed.
Non-direct patient care activities include collaborating with members of CVI to develop policies and protocols that provide effective and efficient use of medications, providing consultation for other health care providers, educating patients and other health care providers, and reviewing and processing medication orders. This position would also involve relevant committee representation, staff education, and precepting pharmacy students. The specialist is directly involved in precepting PGY1 pharmacy residents and PGY2 pharmacy residents in critical care and internal medicine. These residency duties include but are not limited to precepting direct patient care rotations, clinical research, medication use evaluations, presentations, and process improvement projects.
Qualified candidates must be a graduate of a College of Pharmacy accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and must possess a current Virginia pharmacist license or be eligible for licensure. An ASHP-accredited PGY1 Pharmacy Residency is required and specialized PGY2 residency training in Cardiology or Critical Care is preferred. Applicants must possess excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as demonstrate advanced skills in critical thinking and analysis. Must be able to effectively budget time, work efficiently and accurately, and follow procedures with minimum supervision. What We Require:

Your Role as Clinical Supervisor:
The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of a clinical team in an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) environment. You will maintain standards of professional counseling practice in accordance with clinic policies and procedures. The Clinical Supervisor is responsible for directing care of patients, facilitating work flows, and serves as a resource for staff and providing team leadership.
Role Responsibilities:
Providing supervision of the clinical staff in an outpatient opioid treatment program (OTP) recovery environment.
Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, CARF standards, and clinic and corporate policies and procedures.
Monitoring counselor's compliance with productivity requirements and developing improvement plans when requirements are not met.
Making staff assignments and creating schedules; updating support staff when changes are made.
Conducting patient treatment plan reviews as needed.
Performing chart audits and communicates results of audits to staff.
Assisting with the recruitment, hiring and training of qualified clinical staff.
Involvement in crisis intervention and working as a liaison within community as needed.
Ensuring ethical and professional conduct by clinical staff.
Qualifications
Your Education & Qualifications:
Master's Degree in behavioral or related field and 2 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency;
Bachelor's Degree in behavioral or related field and 3 years of clinical experience in a health or human service agency;
Degree must be from an accredited college or university.
Your Experience & Skills:
Minimum 2 years of supervised substance use/addiction counseling experience is required
Minimum 1 year full-time equivalent of clinical experience in a supervisory role is required
Leadership experience in addiction recovery or behavioral health settings, including outpatient, residential, or correctional facilities.
In-depth knowledge of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols and practices, including the use of methadone, buprenorphine, and naltrexone.
Experience supervising and mentoring clinical staff in the delivery of individual and group counseling services for individuals with substance use disorders.
Strong understanding of evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and relapse prevention, with the ability to train and guide staff in their implementation.
Oversight of clinical documentation practices, ensuring accuracy and compliance in treatment plans, progress notes, and assessments in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
Comprehensive knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards, including 42 CFR Part 2, HIPAA, and Joint Commission requirements, with a focus on maintaining audit readiness.
Proven success in fostering collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, including medical providers, case managers, and peer support staff, to deliver coordinated, high-quality care.
Licenses/Certifications:
CSAC at a minimum required
MSW preferred or in school to complete Master's Degree.

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in social work, counseling, or closely related field required
* State licensure at the associate level required; independent level preferred
* Minimum of two (2)years of verifiable work experience providing services and supports to individuals with developmental disabilities
* Two-year previous supervisory experience preferred
* Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
* Must be able to travel between sites, staying overnight as necessary
* Experience in managing systems, processes, and people
* Working knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations concerning services to individuals with developmental disabilities
* Ability to use calculator and operate general office equipment
* Good organizational skills and attention to detail
* Proven supervisory skills
* Capable of working responsibly with highly confidential information
* Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team

Summary/Objective:
As the Clinical Diabetes Specialist, you are responsible for the promotion and clinical support of Beta Bionics products and services within your assigned geography. You are responsible for managing the training journey for people with diabetes. You will be the main point of contact for the educational needs of the iLet user, healthcare professionals and staff. In partnership with the Territory Business Manager and Inside Sales Specialists, you will develop a targeting and business strategy and develop and maintain strong relationships with our customers. This role requires that you work well in a collaborative environment with the ability to influence cross-functional team success. You must have strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities. You will operate with a passion to serve people living with diabetes and our communities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Responsible for driving territory goals through strong clinical experience in diabetes

Compensation and Benefits
The annual base salary for this position is $90,000 - $110,000, plus an annual commission target, resulting in an annual earnings target of $128,000 - $148,000. Beta Bionics offers a competitive compensation package that includes equity and comprehensive benefit offerings.
