Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery when necessary.
Supports the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
Provides recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommends and implements courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
Assists with staff scheduling. Manages all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
Supports proper inventory control and assists with managing supplies and equipment.

On an as needed basis you will perform therapeutic care of patients being treated for cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other conditions, assessing acute changes, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, interpreting ECGs, noting arrhythmias, and intervening in emergency situations, acting as a role model for staff.

Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.

The Urology Clinic is located on the 11th floor at the Adult Outpatient Pavilion and provides care to adult patients with cancer cases (bladder, kidney, prostate), various mobility issues and other urologic conditions and diseases. Responsibilities

Staff Leadership: Supervise and support a team of Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Clinical Medical Assistants (CMAs), and Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). Foster teamwork and ensure that staff have the resources and training needed to provide exceptional care.
Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day clinical operations, including staffing, supply chain management, and clinic organization. Monitor and maintain efficient workflows, ensuring smooth patient transitions through the clinic.
Collaboration and Communication: Serve as a key resource and liaison between staff, providers, administration, and other disciplines. Collaborate with clinic leadership to ensure the clinic operates in alignment with VCU Health System's mission and Magnet Hospital standards.
Quality Improvement & Patient Engagement: Promote a culture of excellence in patient care. Actively support the continuous optimization of nursing practices, fostering patient satisfaction, engagement, and trust.

Duties and Responsibilities:
The VCU Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies (IDAS) advances multidisciplinary research and training in the
field of neuroscience. The Senior Research Assistant will be expected to carry out data collection procedures
from human volunteers as required as part of the Adolescent Brain Cognitive Development (ABCD) Study and
assist the research coordinator in study management. This is a multi-site longitudinal study taking place across
the United States.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Retention activities such as mailing out cards, birthday and holiday greetings, etc.
Contacting enrolled participants to schedule upcoming visits.
Conduct informed consent and assent procedures with study participants.
Conduct research activities per protocol including collection of biological specimens (i.e. hair, saliva, breath, blood pressure, from participants), conduct interviews, and ensure survey completion with participants.
Correctly calculate participant payment and follow procedures to initiate participant payment through the business office.
Conduct regular quality control of data collected at the VCU site and notify the coordinator and project manager of trends.
Supervise students working on the study.
Assist with study protocol training in conjunction with the study coordinator.
Performs all other research duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications

Responsible for following through with referrals and completing assessments (initial, reassessments, comprehensive assessments)

Education and Experience

Candidate should have experience with staff supervision, program compliance, and program development, with the ability to provide subject matter expertise and overall program guidance as EMS of Virginia establishes and builds new services in line with Project BRAVO Phase 2.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities
Ability to set strategic objectives for mid-size social service organization; working knowledge of human services system, roles of human services personnel, and relevant community resources; ability to screen, hire, manage, and evaluate staff; ability to conduct and facilitate meetings; knowledge of the principles, and techniques of counseling services to youth, families, and adults with mental illness and substance abuse concerns; ability to maintain effective working relationships with other social services providers, service purchasers, and clients; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Position Primary Purpose and General Duties
The VCU Institute for Drug and Alcohol Studies (IDAS) advances multidisciplinary research and training on the neuroscience of addictions and related neurobehavioral disorders. Research Assistants perform a variety of routine, non-technical duties in assisting technical and professional personnel in a research laboratory setting. The Research Assistant will be expected to perform most components of data collection from human-subject volunteers required for a biomedical behavioral research study.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors of Science degree or equivalent in Psychology, Neuroscience or related field or equivalent experience.
Proficient in computer skills including word processing, data entry, spreadsheet, database management, and entry level statistical/programming skills required.
Strong clinical skills, including fundamental clinical skills such as establishing rapport, maintaining participant motivation, empathic responding, ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team, and ability to use clinical judgment in (rare) emergency situations.
Strong organizational skills, including understanding of HIPAA regulations.
Ability to organize meetings, and present reports.
Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree or equivalent in Psychology, Neuroscience or related field
Writing experience with first author and co-author peer reviewed manuscripts
Knowledge of statistical analysis and software applications
Experience recruiting, consenting, and carrying out study procedures with opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment participants, including during pregnancy and postpartum
Qualitative research experience, including data collection, coding, analysis
Ability to set up projects and surveys in REDCap, perform sample size calculations using GPower 3.1, analyze qualitative data (such as with ATLAS.ti.8) and quantitative statistical analysis (such as with SAS 9.4 and GraphPad Prism).
Experience with preparing and maintaining Institutional Review Board (IRB) and regulatory paperwork to comply with institutional regulatory requirements
Experience in mentoring and training student research trainees, incorporating them into research teams

We re seeking a Clinic Manager to lead three urgent care clinics in Fredericksburg, VA. This key leadership role is ideal for a dynamic and experienced manager who thrives in a multi-site environment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Clinic Manager, you will:
Oversee the daily operations of three urgent care clinics, ensuring seamless patient flow and efficient processes.
Manage staff hiring, training, and development, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Coordinate scheduling, provider relations, and billing processes across multiple locations.
Ensure all clinics comply with state and federal guidelines and regulations.
Monitor budgets, optimize resources, and implement marketing strategies to drive clinic success.
Maintain up-to-date credentials and licensures for all clinic staff.
Lead regular staff meetings and ensure completion of training and compliance requirements.
Address challenges proactively to ensure all clinics operate smoothly and deliver a superior patient experience.

The Clinic Manager supports the organization ensuring that the clinic is running smoothly, and that patient flow is at the optimum.
Essential Education, Experience and Skills:
Education: Minimum of High School diploma or equivalent
Certification: Current healthcare professional level CPR certification issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, American Safety Health Institute or National Safety Council.
Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills & a team player
Willingness to be flexible, roll with the punches, multi-task and troubleshoot problems
Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
Exemplifies amazing customer service skills and professionalism
Valued But Not Required Education, Experience and Skills:
Education: Minimum of Bachelor s Degree
Experience: Minimum of three years previous management experience in healthcare related field, preferably in medical office environment. Strong human resource and financial management skills. Typing and computer knowledge.
Additional Training: Other medical or academic degree. Customer Service, Human Resource and Financial Management training.
