Job Description
Clinical Site Startup & Engagement's vision is to expand Takeda's operational capabilities and drive effective, proactive global clinical-trial planning and management. Through strategic advancements in clinical research and development, CSSE aims to introduce greater efficiencies that make Takeda a preferred partner for sites, fostering a collaborative environment and enabling a more efficient delivery of Takeda's pipeline.
CSSE's mission is to work collaboratively, with both internal and external partners, to deliver best-in-class trial execution, identify innovative ideas and employ business process excellence to compliment strategic growth and positively impact cycle time, quality, compliance, and resource utilization.
Role Overview:
The interns will support the current and future fiscal year business efforts for the Clinical Site Startup & Engagement team in the following departments:
Feasibility and Trial Equity
Study Start-Up
Patient Recruitment & Retention
Interns will have the opportunity to partner with other business units (Clinical Operations, Regulatory, Legal, Field Medical, R&D Health Equity, etc.) that regularly collaborate in the support of business goals. Interns will develop their knowledge of the R&D process by shadowing CSSE colleagues. This will include attending trial team meetings and strategy sessions, as well as meeting with vendors and our CRO partners. Interns will be expected to present a conclusionary presentation highlighting their experience and sharing learnings.
How You Will Contribute:

Support the identification of the competitive landscape for a given trial/indication

Review the documents Study Start-Up is responsible for tracking
Support the tracking of reportable metrics
Patient Recruitment & Retention
Support the Patient Recruitment and Retention strategy development with a focus on identifying successful methods for effective clinical trial messaging and tactics that will resonate with a broad segment of the population.
Trial Equity
Support the development of a global diversity strategy
Support includes but not limited to data aggregation related to the demographics of disease, support trial teams with researching local community-based partnerships and assisting in maintaining the D&I in Clinical Trials resource database (store on SharePoint).
Develop their knowledge of the R&D process by shadowing CSSE colleagues in their support of at least 1 trial.
Collect external communications related to D&I in Clinical Trials to help build their personal acumen.

Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in marketing, natural & physical sciences (biology, chemistry, physics, etc.), biostatistics, mathematics, bioengineering, biomedical engineering, gender studies, ethnic cultural studies, world culture, health education, nursing, medical sciences, pre-pharmaceutical studies or pharmaceutical science
Must have mid-level proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint), compiling statistics, database management, quantitative & qualitative research, basic project planning, research, and basic technical writing

The Role

Job Overview
This Community Intern role will help support the Bubble Ambassador Community team in a wide variety of day to day operations. A large portion of this role will involve reviewing ambassador applications and content submissions for our ever-growing brand community.
Responsibilities:
Community Support:
Support on the day-to-day engagement of Bubble's community channels. Be both proactive and reactive with the community, engaging across questions, comments, and support requests efficiently.
Maintain and clear community platform's ambassador submissions from pending applications, content submissions, document submissions, etc.

Ensure that sendouts are processed efficiently and in compliance with company guidelines.
Social Media Engagement:
Respond to community inquiries across all brand insider channels daily

Performers courier duties to the lab and other hospital departments to deliver lab specimens (Urine, stool, sputum), or deliver and retrieve other requested items.
Transports patients to and from various areas as needed.
Answers phones and greets patients and visitors. Performs other related duties as assigned that will facilitate the achievement of quality patient care.
Takes and records vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration), measures and records intake and output, and weighs patient as assigned. Observes patient's physical appearance, attitude, response to medications and treatments, appetite, etc., and reports observations to Registered Nurse.
Performs or assists with routine procedures such as enemas, sitz baths, surgical preps, and turning patients, and explains procedures to patients to facilitate understanding and reduce anxiety. Gives bedpans, urinals, or assists patient to commode or bathroom.
Assists patient with meals by preparing the patient's proper positioning, moving the tray, and feeding the patient as necessary. Ensures nourishments and water are given to the patient in accordance with the established schedule of as requested.
Helps patients in and out of bed and/or wheelchair. Performs back rubs, converses with patients in a positive, friendly manner to reduce anxiety and encourage communication.
Participates in various in-service and staff activities to contribute to the ongoing development of knowledge and to improve techniques.
Performs age-specific patient assessment, demonstrating awareness of growth and development for each age group.
Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific assessment, recognizing psychosocial levels and developmental patterns.
Provides for age-appropriate stimulation and learning needs.
Adheres to the Hospital's Standards of Performance.
Minimum Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must be enrolled in a professional school of nursing program for "Registered Nurse" and have completed their first semester (Fundamentals of Nursing, including clinicals).
Required Certifications/Licenses:
Basic Life Support (BLS) American Heart Association is required.
