Collects and analyzes samples of blood and timed expired air; calculates certain hemodynamic data. Assists the physician in placement of cardiac catheter. Monitors patient reaction to procedures. Monitors EKG and pressure readings. May administer non-narcotic medications (if allowed by facility protocol and according to applicable state regulations). Maintains record of protocol and operates defibrillator. Provides assistance as needed during patient emergencies. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
