NEW Molecular Technologist Opening at a large laboratory that provides comprehensive anatomic, clinical and molecular pathology services. This laboratory specializes in hematology/oncology, dermatology, urology, gynecology, cytopathology, neuropathology and forensic medicine (as well as others). Also, this laboratory is fully certified by the state of Tennessee, College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Joint Commission as well as the Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA). The Medical Technologist I performs routine and specialized moderate and high complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluid specimens under minimal supervision. This role ensures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to quality control protocols and maintaining laboratory instruments. What you will do in this role: + You will handle specimen processing, preanalytic inspection of specimens for identification and integrity. + You will perform various types of laboratory test(s) on patient specimens, evaluates test results, and report/enter/verify test results in Laboratory Information System. + You will perform and evaluates periodic quality control per policy and procedure. + You will evaluate new and/or modified procedures, reagents and instruments as directed by Section Coordinator. + Troubleshoots all instruments as directed by SectionCoordinator. + Participates in hospital initiatives and in department goals set by the Laboratory Director and Manager What qualifications you will need: + Associate degree; Graduatefroma NCCLS accredited Medical Technician program. + Hospital laboratory experience preferred. This laboratory is fully certified by the state of Tennessee, College of American Pathologists (CAP) and the Joint Commission as well as the Laboratory Improvement Act (CLIA). This laboratory is looking to hire a permanent and full time Medical Technologist OR Medical Laboratory Scientist on days, evenings or nights!
