This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position that will utilize molecular, biochemical, genetic, imaging, and bioinformatic/computational approaches in a wet-lab setting. The Sagerstrom lab studies the formation of neurons in the developing nervous system. As a Intermediate Laboratory Sciences Professional in our lab, you will work closely with graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to support their projects. The work is highly flexible and variable and includes standard molecular biology techniques (PCR, subcloning, gel electrophoresis), microscopy (fluorescence and confocal microscopy), basic computational/bioinformatic, and animal behavioral analyses. Commensurate with increased expertise, you will be given the opportunity to work more independently on projects using state-of-the-art methods such as sc RNAseq and sc Multiome analyses.
