This Laboratory Science Professional role will be an integral team member, conducting experiments exploring molecular and functional changes that occur in cardiomyocytes based on age, biological sex, or disease.
This position will provide training in a wide variety of physiologic, biochemical, and molecular techniques aimed at understanding how the age and sex of an individual impact heart function.
Along with wet laboratory experiments, this position will also entail complete and thorough note taking, data analysis, routine laboratory tasks, and work with laboratory animals.
Our lab utilizes human heart samples in addition to cell culture- and murine- based models to conduct experiments to evaluate molecular transcriptomic, proteomic, and functional alterations in response to a variety of conditions.
This work will be important for the identification and development of drug therapies that improve cardiac function specifically targeted by age and biological sex.

POSITION SUMMARY
Our Medication Technicians (QMAP) provide compassionate, direct care to our residents, assisting them with medication administration and activities of daily living, following a personalized medication and treatment plan. Requirements:
CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Certifications:

Current First Aid and CPR license or ability to obtain.

Cath Lab Rads assist doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures such as cardiac catheterization, peripheral vascular procedures, and structural heart procedures in the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. Scrubbing, monitoring and assisting providers as requested.
As a Cath Lab Rad, you will be responsible for:
Preparing the Cardiac Lab procedure rooms by ensuring adequate stock is available and in working condition, including instrument sterilization if applicable.
Preparing patient and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing site of entry, draping patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
Operating and ensuring the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab. Knowledge of all related equipment within the laboratory.
Scrubbing in during procedures, assisting the physician in maneuvering catheters.
Obtaining and recording hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data by operating-hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
Monitoring the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab.
Participating in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Cath Lab Rads should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean or stoop without difficulty.
Must have 1 year of experience. The Cath Lab Rad must have BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI-RCIS certification, and state specific licensing when required.

The Job You Will Perform:
Responsible for the testing and evaluation of paper and paperboard samples and corrugated packaging as requested by containerboard mills, manufacturing facilities and their direct customers.
Perform tests using various industry standards, including TAPPI, ASTM, and ISTA test methods.
Analyze test data and compare results to specific quality standards.
Work directly with customers to determine package compression and transit simulation performance of customer packaging.
Routine calibration and maintenance of lab testing equipment.
Participation in a wide variety of projects related to paper quality and package performance.
Perform shipping/receiving functions as required.
Safe operation of powered industrial trucks.
Perform daily activities in compliance with documented safety requirements.
Routinely handle test materials weighing 50 lbs. or more.
The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:
College degree in a scientific discipline preferred, with special consideration to candidates with packaging degrees or equivalent experience of at least one year in quality assurance for a paperboard or corrugated manufacturing facility.
Working knowledge of TAPPI, ASTM, ISTA procedures is preferred.
Proficient with Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication skills (oral & written).
Strong analytical skills, which includes a basic knowledge of statistics, data collection techniques, and problem solving tools (flow charts, control charts, histograms, bar charts, etc.)
Prior forklift experience preferred.
