The Analytical Lab Technician supports Car Care manufacturing operations by performing routine and non-routine analytical testing to ensure raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products meet established quality specifications. This role ensures timely and accurate analytical data to support production, product release, and continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities:?
Conduct analytical and physical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products following approved test methods.
Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments such as pH meters, viscometers, and FTIR.
Accurately document test results in laboratory databases in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards.
Support manufacturing troubleshooting by providing analytical data, insights, and timely feedback.
Maintain laboratory cleanliness, manage chemical inventory, and ensure adherence to all safety and environmental procedures.
Participate in method verifications, instrument qualifications, and process improvement initiatives.
Collaborate closely with Production Teams, Product Engineers, and the Production Manager to ensure timely testing and product release.
Maintain finished goods retention samples in accordance with the Company's Quality Policy.
Escalate analytical or product quality issues to R&D to ensure timely investigation and resolution.
Support R&D in product testing for new product introductions and process qualifications

Qualifications Required:
This position requires in-depth technical knowledge of complex electrical and electronic devices and the ability to analyze electronic circuits.
The Electronics Lab Specialist must be able to understand how a part or component functions then conceptualize and visualize how the item must be tested to verify its proper operation.
They must also have the ability to take a failed part/component, develop an understanding of why or how it failed, and devise methods and procedures to repair and test the item prior to returning it to the site as a usable spare.
Must demonstrate strong computer skills as well as communication, inter-personal, customer service and time management skills.
Must obtain and maintain qualifications required to perform electrical/electronic repairs (i.e. specialized test equipment, circuit theory, soldering).

* Assist with the application and adherence to policies and procedures while on the Fire Training Grounds or when using Public Safety facilities or equipment. Assist with managing the logistics of equipment being requested for training and education within the NWTC District. Ensure the safe operations of equipment and facilities as required by state, industry, and OSHA standards.

Help ensure compliance with NFPA and WI SPS 330 requirements, including fit testing for students and instructors. Work with instructors to ensure lab equipment supports curriculum needs.
* Assist instructors in ensuring lab equipment aligns with curriculum needs.
* Provide input and support in areas of capital and operational planning, such as gathering vendor information or researching equipment.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE
* Associate Degree in Fire Science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Fire Service.
* Two years of related experience as a professional or volunteer in fire service.
* Microsoft Office Suite and database information systems.
* Knowledge of Wisconsin Fire Service training and certification standards.
* Must hold a valid driver's license and be insurable under the districts standard insurance policy terms.
* Thorough understand of current fire codes, statutes, guiding WTSB directives and IFSAC requirements.
An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Class A CDL, Combination Vehicle endorsement preferred
* Certified in the State of Wisconsin as a Firefighter Level 1, Firefighter Level 2, Fire Emergency Services Instructor 1 (FESI-1) preferred

The P&C Lab Technician will perform Project Testing and support testing functions for Decks, Below Grade Waterproofing, Sealants and Air Barriers. These test functions include Product Comparison, Product Compatibly, ASTM Testing (potential addendums to existing standard method requirements). The P&C Lab Technician will be required to communicate results in an organized manner and manage the flow of data through the proper channels to the proper recipients in a timely fashion
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Laboratory: 75% of time will be spent in the laboratory in constructing test samples, documenting performance and maintaining a clean working environment. Must be familiar with a laboratory setting and safety and be able to:
* Test to ASTM C 1248, ASTM C 1247, ASTM C 1193, ASTM C 1135, ASTM C 1087, ASTM 794, ASTM C 793, ASTM C 719, ASTM C 679, ASTM C 679, ASTM C 661, ASTM C 639 and ASTM C 510 standard test methods.
* Prepare test substrates for testing using cutting equipment including band saw, table saw and wet saw.
* Document observations and results of standard testing in detailed test reports.
* Maintain organization of test articles during sample preparation, conditioning, testing and storage.
* Maintain cleanliness of laboratory environment and enforce laboratory hygiene plan.
* Use of material testing equipment including microscope and Instron 5565.
