Prepares samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation. Performs numerous complicated tests simultaneously; accurately evaluates correlates and interprets test results. Requirements: * Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Lab Science or Associate's in Medical Lab Technology * Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), or * Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) certification issued by the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification (ASCP BOC) needs to be obtained within 6 months, or * Medical Technologist (MT) certification issued by the American Medical Technologists (AMT) needs to be obtained within 6 months * Under approved circumstances, an extension may be granted for an additional 6 months.
