As part of a high-performing lab team, you will run instruments, perform quality control, maintain equipment, and support patient care with accurate lab results.
Key Responsibilities:

Esoteric Coagulation Department is looking for a highly motivated and dedicated medical laboratory scientist interested in a challenging but rewarding career in special coagulation.
The laboratory offers a comprehensive menu of complex specialized coagulation assays that require meticulous attention to details. Testing is performed using both highly automated and manual methods, including ELISA, FRET, and semi-automated gel electrophoresis for von Willebrand multimers. Job Responsibilities:
Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria

SCOPE :

Position Summary:
The Clinical Laboratory Technologist works under general supervision and is responsible for complex laboratory procedures and handling all types of specimens submitted to the department for processing tasks assigned.
Responsibilities:
* Performs clinical laboratory tests proficiently in the department under general supervision, and exercises independent judgment in the specialty assigned

Experience, Educations and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college or university preferred.

Lab & Simulation Set Up
Prepares and stages nursing lab spaces with required equipment, task trainers, and supplies for scheduled courses and skills checkoffs.
Manages simulation environments to reflect realistic clinical scenarios, including patient rooms, emergency settings, and specialty care units.
Calibrates and tests high and low-fidelity manikins prior to use to ensure proper function.
Programs manikins and simulation software according to scenario requirements.
Arranges medical equipment such as IV pumps, oxygen tanks, monitors, and procedural trays in accordance with learning activities.
Trains faculty on appropriate use of lab equipment and simulation technologies to effectively support learning outcomes.
Facilitates lab and simulation scenarios in partnership with faculty to support student learning.
Supply Procurement & Inventory
Monitors and tracks inventory levels of lab and simulation supplies, including consumables, medications (mock/simulated), and disposable equipment.
Conducts routine inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify low-stock or expired items.
Maintains organized storage systems for supplies and equipment to ensure efficient access and restocking.
