POSITION SUMMARY:
This is a Full-Time position performs routine the core manufacturing tasks required to support molecular assay production, including reagent preparation, order fulfillment, inventory documentation, and shipping/receiving duties. Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities of the Production Technologist may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Prepare reagents and production materials following approved SOPs and batch records.
Receive and inspect incoming shipments; verify quantities, condition, and related documentation.
Perform order verification and pack outgoing orders with appropriate accuracy and documentation.
Maintain inventory by checking out materials used internally and recording all consumptions.
Update logs, CoAs, batch forms, and lot tracking documents accurately and promptly.
Notify appropriate personnel when stock levels drop below defined thresholds.
Ensure adherence to quality control measures and report any discrepancies or deviations.
Follow all safety, regulatory, and documentation requirements.

Qualifications
Production Technologist personnel have qualified by having a Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science, medical technology, or clinical laboratory science.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 35 lbs.
Must be detail oriented and handle several tasks simultaneously.

• Prepares and analyzes numerous types of samples by a variety of physical and chemical analytical techniques using sophisticated analytical equipment. * Interprets laboratory data and reports test results. Reviews and rechecks questionable results. Documents corrected reports per laboratory protocol. Able to recognize abnormal or inconsistent results that may require specimen recollection. Reports unusual or erratic results to supervisor.
* Calls critical results to clinics, outreach clients or inpatient nursing units; refers to departmental procedure manual for special reporting. Utilizes hospital and laboratory computer systems for ordering and reporting test results. Follows other specific laboratory computer procedures.
* Performs and evaluates the quality control program by including appropriate quality control sample as directed per specific instrument/procedure. Evaluates the integrity of each run. Takes proper remedial action in response to test systems being out of control limits Records each quality control result as per instrument or procedure. Calculates the control mean and standard deviation for each numeric test monthly. Maintains quality control records; keep limits posted and up-to-date.
* Complies with all policies, standards, mandatory training and requirements of Stormont Vail Health
