Maintains and communicates department records of tests performed, test results and equipment maintenance.

THE ROLE: Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
A Medical Laboratory Technician is responsible for performing a full range of laboratory testing and reporting laboratory findings to physicians. Job Description
Location: Iraq
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) is responsible to provide comprehensive health services to DOS, DOD, and contractor personnel stationed in Iraq. The MLT performs lab tests and procedures, mostly comprising of microscopic, bacteriological, hematologic, immunologic, and chemical diagnostic analyses on samples of tissue, blood, urine, stool, synovial fluid and semen. The MLT looks for clues to the absence, presence, and extent of the causes and progression of diseases through accurate and efficient lab tests.
Key Responsibilities:
Collect and process biological specimens for laboratory testing.
Conduct routine and specialized tests in hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and blood bank.
Maintain laboratory equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues.
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean laboratory environment.
Record and report test results accurately and in a timely manner.
Collaborate with pathologists and other medical staff to interpret results and ensure quality patient care.
Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Actively participates in Mass Casualty exercises and events.
Completes required organizational compliance education, including assigned requirements that are client-specified, for Joint Commission Healthcare Staffing Services certification or other regulatory bodies.

Job Title: Lab Technician II 36 months contract 700 Chesterfield Parkway West, Chesterfield, MO 63017 The qualified candidate will join the Analytical R&D organization in Chesterfield, MO, to enable operational success of the organization. Within Analytical R&D the candidate will join the Project, Outsourcing, Business Systems group. This group supports the organization in the development of analytical methodologies and strategies needed to progress biotherapeutic products in the pipeline. The role will encompass essential sample handling and office support for the department. The candidate will have multiple responsibilities, and they must be comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and last minute requests.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Reconcile laboratory equipment list with actual location and equipment
· Labelling and tagging equipment in preparation for upcoming building move · Maintaining accurate user lists and accounts for external partner access · Monitoring internal training records for external partners · Updating and Maintaining Sharepoint site and associated documents/links · Assisting with sample management, distribution, and shipping both domestically and internationally · Ordering Capital and general supplies
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
· Attention to detail, strong organizational skills in order to start and complete a task
· Effective interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
· Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, and computer literate enough to quickly learn new systems
· Ability to comply with sample handling safety instructions

· Previous experience working in a pharmaceutical or biotech environment is desired, but not required

Our location in St Louis, MO is currently looking to hire temp to possible full-time, entry-level Microbiology Technicians. (40 hours/week plus benefits included)
