The Registered Nurse (RN), within the scope of the OhioNurse Practice Act, will provide care in an atmosphere sensitive to each person's physical, emotional, social and spiritual needs. The Staff RN is accountable for the delivery of patient care utilizing the Nursing Process within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines of Mount Carmel Health System.

* Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period
* Assess and document patient's status upon arrival in the recovery room
* Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and type of anesthesia administered
* Monitoring patient and informing dentist or anesthetist of observed complications
YOU HAVE
Requirements + Qualifications
* Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse
* Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
* Knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application, including the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire
* Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (within 60 days of hire)
Preferred
* Bachelor's degree in nursing
* Previous experience in ICU or perioperative nursing experience

The RN Team Nurse's Essential Duties Are:
The RN Team Nurse carries the responsibility of flexibility in diverse Ohio's Hospice RN roles as a float team member assisting Care Partners, Coming Home, Extended-Hours/On-Call and the Admission Departments and IPU as needed. Float team staff will collaborate with various IDT members both internal and external of the organization. Clinical services will be scheduled in a timely fashion according to the patient's plan of care, observing patient's continuity of care to achieve the desired outcome of comfortable and peaceful death for patients. When in the field, staff will provide excellent clinical care to all Ohio's Hospice patients that meet the needs of our patients/families, Ohio's Hospice standards, Medicare Conditions of Participation and achieve the desired outcome of comfortable and peaceful death for our patients.
Qualifications:
RN Nurse License in the State of Ohio without any board actions Bachelor Degree preferred
Certification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine (CHPN) preferred and will be made available to Ohio's Hospice employees who wish to obtain certification.
