Reports to the Director of Pharmacy Job Responsibilities: Orders and received medication from appropriate source and conducts inventory of controlled substances Reports all variances as required by state and federal regulations Prepares accurately medication doses for patients in levels and dosage amounts as prescribed Keeps adequate control over requesting and dispensing of all drugs and pharmaceutical supplies Reviews and interprets the prescription of inpatient and outpatient using computerized patient profiles to ensure the appropriateness of dosage and to determine the significance of potential drug-drug interactions Contacts and confers with healthcare provides concerting the appropriate drug, dose, interval, drug allergy and drug-drug interaction Fills automated dispensing machines and accurately prepares and dispenses appropriate amount of inpatient and outpatient medication. Required qualifications: Active License in the State of Florida as Registered Pharmacist Graduated from accredited school of Pharmacy as Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. or equivalent) Experience working in substance/behavioral treatment center required Current CPR Certification preferred Proof of Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Training or must be obtained This position guarantees 1 work day per week, a minimum of 16 scheduled hours per two-week pay period, including at least one major holiday per year.
