The Lead Pharmacy Technician performs, under supervision, a variety of technical duties related to the preparing and dispensed of drugs according to standard procedures. In conjunction with the Pharmacy Manager, takes a leadership role among the pharmacy technicians in training and maintaining drug inventory in the pharmacy department. Assist the pharmacy manager or pharmacy supervisors in creating and updating technician schedules Assist in the maintenance of required quality assurance, legal and fiscal responsibility documentation. Assists in the training of new pharmacy technician hires and education of pharmacy staff on new medications, procedures, and safety protocols Assists with media fill testing in conjugation with the pharmacy manager and supervisors Prepare tables and various forms in Word or Excel format for distribution Assist manager in design of physical layout of the department and the management of drug inventory. Review and maintain records pertinent for compliance and licensing surveyors.
