The PharmacistClinical will be responsible for managing the selection and utilization of pharmaceuticals and supports core clinical programs such as DUR and formulary management.
How you will make an impact:
* Leads Medicaid formulary management processes.
* Responsible for all member, stakeholder, and provider communications regarding formulary changes.

Minimum Requirements:
* Requires BA/BS in Pharmacy.
* Minimum of 2 years of managed care pharmacy (PBM) experience or residency in lieu of work experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
* Requires a registered pharmacist.
* Must possess an active unrestricted state license to practice pharmacy as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh).
Preferred Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences:
* PharmD strongly preferred.
* Formulary management experience in Medicaid strongly preferred.
* Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills, problem-solving skills, facilitation skills, and analytical skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel desired.

The ClinicalPharmacist will be responsible for ensuring safe practices of pharmacy operations, including but not limited to the review and interpretation of prescriptions for verification, reviewing patient records to determine appropriateness of medication therapy, providing patient medication counseling, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities and dispensing medications, within and for various BioMatrix Specialty Pharmacy locations and/or therapy specific Centers of Excellence operations.
The ClinicalPharmacists will monitor drug therapies for patients, advise on interventions as needed, and assume the responsibility of general oversight and management of patient care which may include providing effective medication management for the accurate treatment and prevention of specialty disease states. This position may be required to oversee and/or verify and validate pharmacy technician activities and documentation and will work closely and collaboratively with other internal and external departments as needed, including but not limited to Reimbursement and managed Markets Services, Quality Management, Nursing and/or Clinical Services, and/or other Pharmacy Services team members.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
* Graduate with a BS or Doctorate of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy required
* Current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the state noted in posting required
* Strong knowledge and understanding of specialty therapies, the steps needed to qualify a patient for such therapy, and the ability to lead team members through these steps for patient support
* Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
* Basic level skill in Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
QUALIFICATIONS PREFERRED
* Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Specialty, Infusion/In-Home Infusion, Retail, Community, Mail-order and/or Hospital Pharmacy strongly preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Support prescription management and documentation in accordance with BioMatrix established processes and systems guidelines and requirements while following all legal, regulatory, and state regulations including HIPAA
* Comply with the regulatory guidelines of the State Board of Pharmacy, FDA, DEA, Department of Health & Human Services, Medicare, ACHC, URAC and OSHA
* Work and interact collaboratively and effectively with Intake and Referral Services team members in support of the on-boarding of new patient in need of specialty services and therapies offered by BioMatrix.
* Support successful outcomes overall end to end processes to support getting referrals to their proper destination for prescription fulfillment
* Ensure continuity of patient referral activities are performed optimally
* Support staffing and resource adjustments as found necessary to support referral and prescription volume needs across various BioMatrix specialty pharmacy locations and in alignment with overall growth goals for the organization
* Monitor, oversee, and/or manage pharmacy technician activities, documentation, and performance. Pharmacy technicians may also serve roles such as Referral, Patient Support
* Work and interact collaboratively and effectively with various Pharmacy operational team members and roles to ensure prescription fulfillment, order management, and shipping support are all working in concert with one another to meet patient prescription care needs in a timely fashion
* Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy, verify the necessary ingredients and evaluate their suitability

While working in stores throughout the district, you are accountable for supporting the management, oversight, and operation of the pharmacy and pharmacy team.
The DSP's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
+ Living our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices
+ Traveling the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator (DPC); overseeing the pharmacy and serving as the Pharmacy Manager's proxy during bench shifts without overlap
+ Supporting safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following-and directing the pharmacy team to follow-pharmacy workflow procedures and utilizing the safety guardrails at every workstation
+ Assumes Pharmacy Manager's day-to-day duties when serving as the only or the primary pharmacist-on-duty

+ Supporting the effective management of pharmacy inventory in all pharmacies worked by following-and guiding the pharmacy team to follow-all inventory best practices, with a special focus on protecting cold chain products for our patients and our business

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
