ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct targeted outreach to patients identified as at risk for non-adherence to chronic medications, focusing on CMS quality measure drug classes (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, cholesterol) and other high-priority therapeutic areas. Review and verify prescriptions and medication order for appropriateness, including safety and efficacy.     What Retail Pharmacy contributes to Cardinal Health Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers. Work Schedule 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM ET, Monday to Friday Onsite in Doral, FL Job Summary The Retail Pharmacist III is responsible for delivering safe, accurate, and timely prescription and product verification while supporting a high‑touch patient experience. This role serves as a clinical and operational resource within the pharmacy, overseeing day‑to‑day workflow, providing guidance to pharmacy technicians, and coordinating care across patients, providers, and internal teams. The Pharmacist III also supports diabetic supply and durable medical equipment (DME) management, ensures regulatory and documentation compliance, and contributes to continuous quality improvement. Responsibilities Perform accurate and timely prescription and product verification, consistently meeting established quality and safety metrics. Assist providers with DME-related questions to ensure appropriate product selection and patient support. Supervise pharmacy technicians and oversee day‑to‑day administrative operations. Foster positive, professional working relationships across the pharmacy team. Support teammates as needed to ensure operational continuity and efficiency. Uphold all pharmacy, regulatory, and compliance standards for dispensing and documentation. Proactively identify process improvements and engage in continuous quality initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, or equivalent work experience, preferred. 4-8 years of retail or long‑term care pharmacy experience, preferred. Current, active Florida Pharmacist license in good standing. Strong knowledge of prescription interpretation and pharmacy compliance standards. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism. Effective problem‑solving skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently. Demonstrated ability to deliver a positive, professional customer experience. Working knowledge of GuardianRx PMS, preferred. Ability to excel in a fast‑paced environment with high prescription volume. Multistate pharmacist licensure, preferred. CA, IL, TX are a plus. Willingness to reciprocate additional nonresident state licenses as requested, and to serve as PIC for at least one state with backup PIC support for 3+ additional states within 12 months. Experience with diabetic supplies and/or certification as a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE), preferred. Mail‑order experience, preferred.
