Overview
The ClinicalPharmacist provides pharmaceutical care to all patients consistent with the goals and objectives of the hospital and the pharmacy department. In providing this care, the pharmacist must review all drug orders and judge the appropriateness of those orders, i.e. appropriate drug, dose, frequency, etc. Drug related problems, such as potential allergic reactions, drug interactions, and other problems, must be identified and resolved. The pharmacist must also oversee the activities of supportive personnel working in the area. Pharmacists are expected to focus the full potential of their knowledge and experience on the assessment and improvement of patient care. They must be cognizant of medication-related, patient safety risks, and resolve or escalate identified problems in a timely manner. Job Summary: We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Part-Time Pharmacist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to providing the highest standards of pharmaceutical services. We focus on all aspects of pharmacy including direct patient contact, immunization, MTM, long term care, adherence, and disease state management. This requires someone who is open to innovation, outgoing, assertive, customer focused, detail-oriented and who has excellent leadership skills including people management and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Dispense prescription medications and ensure accuracy in medication preparation.
Provide patient counseling on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with all regulations and policies.
Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering and monitoring stock levels.
Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and industry trends.
Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D. or RPH) degree from an accredited institution.
Current pharmacist license in good standing with the state board of pharmacy.
Previous retail pharmacy experience preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
