Safely compounds and dispenses medications for administration to patients. * Evaluates patients, orders appropriate laboratory tests, and interprets serum drug levels utilizing pharmacokinetic principles; provides prescribers with dosage regimen recommendations to optimize therapeutic outcomes, reduce patient risk, and monitor the costs associated with drug therapy. * Provides appropriate supervision and direction within appropriate skill level to technicians, residents, interns, and other support personnel. * Engages in continuous study of the entire professional field to maintain the professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
