Basic Qualifications
BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications

Job Summary: The Pharmacist in Charge is responsible for operational and compliance duties as well as routine operations of the department. Under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, the Staff Pharmacist, accurately reviews and interprets medication orders; prepares accurate and complete patient profiles; reviews profiles; reviews profiles for correct drug, dosage of administration; ensures that no drug duplication or drug-drug interaction exists; ensures that patient is not allergic to any medication prescribed. Efficiently performs other professional pharmacy duties including the safe procurement, preparation, labeling, distribution, and control of all drugs. Notifies appropriate medical/nursing staff whenever appropriate drug therapy is questionable. Actively supports and participates in pharmacy activities recommended by The Joint Commission or other regulatory agencies.

Our contract assignments range from a minimum of 13 weeks to 1 year with the mutual option to extend, giving you the opportunity to broaden your horizons and choose a different adventure.

What You Will Do
* Serve patients by reviewing, adjusting, verifying, and dispensing physician medication orders and related services (such as pharmacokinetic dosing and levels).
* Review and recommend dose changes of patient medications to achieve best practice.
* Assure the appropriateness of a medication order, including age-related factors, before preparing or permitting the distribution of the first dose.
* Maintain the accuracy of patient profiles.
* Exercise skills as a team member in the management of medical emergencies.
* Oversee pharmacy technicians to assist with all medication distribution functions.
* Fosters a team environment by providing orientation and training to new team members.
* Coordinates and completes all assigned medication storage area inspections in a timely manner.
* Adheres to infection control protocols.
* Build and nurture relationships with physicians and nurses.
What You Will Need
Requirements:
* Licensed to practice pharmacy in the State of New Mexico.
* A minimum of 1-3 years of hospital experience is preferred but not required.

Basic Qualifications
BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems and insurance.
