Work schedule: (Mon - Fri) || 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (EST). 40 hours per week RESPONSIBILITIES: Clinical Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive clinical reviews of pharmacotherapy, including: Drug utilization Patient counseling Compliance assessment Drug interaction screening Side effect profiling Drug administration education Document all clinical reviews and interventions in the patient record Counsel patients on new therapies using evidence-based clinical models Complete and comply with REMS training and program SOPs Coordinate patient care with prescribing clinicians to address social, psychological, and physical needs Serve as a liaison between patients, caregivers, nurses, home health agencies, hospice providers, and prescribers Provide subcutaneous injection teaching and coordinate nursing support when required Process prescriptions accurately and within required timelines Verify therapy discontinuation and appropriately close patient profiles Perform intake for new patient referrals via telephone Deliver “outrageous customer service” as defined by Biologics standards Operational Responsibilities Ensure strict compliance with state, federal, and Board of Pharmacy regulations Dispense medications according to physician orders and legal requirements Verify prescription order entry accuracy and final product quality Assist pharmacy technicians with claims adjudication and payment accuracy Monitor hazardous waste handling and aseptic technique compliance Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff Report adverse events and product quality complaints per regulatory standards Maintain compliance with controlled substance regulations Professional Responsibilities Maintain current CE requirements per Board of Pharmacy laws Support professional development of assigned team members Demonstrate continuous learning and clinical growth Participate in professional conferences and share learnings with peers QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in North Carolina, Texas, or Kentucky License must be in good standing Minimum 2-3 years of patient counseling experience Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable providing telephonic counseling for extended periods Ability to apply for additional state licensure if required Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset Preferred Qualifications 3-5+ years of experience in clinical pharmacy operations Experience in specialty pharmacy or patient support services BCOP certification (or willingness to obtain when eligible) Knowledge of sterile technique and quality control processes I'd love to talk to you if you think this position is right up your alley, and assure a prompt communication, whichever direction.
