Position Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and motivated Pharmacy Technician to support IV pump implementations with safety software integration.
This contract position will focus on assisting customers in building, validating, and finalizing drug library rule sets to ensure safe and effective clinical use of infusion devices.
The role is largely remote with limited travel requirements (up to 10%).
Key Responsibilities:
Support customers in building drug library rule sets within the safety software.
Collaborate with lead pharmacy consultants and customers to validate drug library rule set entries.
Partner with customers and the lead pharmacist to conduct drug library reviews and/or testing on infusion pumps.
Facilitate the completion, documentation, and sign-off of drug library builds.
Qualifications & Experience:
Associate's degree, Pharmacy Technology and/or Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) credential required.
Minimum 3 years of relevant clinical pharmacy or healthcare experience.
Strong computer application skills, including the ability to learn and navigate infusion pumps and safety software.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with customers and consultants.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
Ability to work remotely with occasional travel (up to 10%).

Basic Qualifications
BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications

The Lead Home Infusion Pharmacist is a pivotal figure in fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the pharmacy team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Clinical and Patient Care Oversight:
● Manage and oversee the clinical functions of the IV department to ensure high-quality patient care.
● Provide direct support to Home Infusion Pharmacists, stepping in as needed to guarantee optimal patient
outcomes.
● Efficiently manage both ongoing and newly onboarded patients.
● Review medication orders for accuracy, clinical appropriateness, and safety.
● Conduct and review patient assessments and Care Plans.
● Resolve patient concerns and complaints promptly and effectively.
● Provide patient counseling when necessary.
● Communicate with healthcare providers regarding patient status and treatment adjustments.
● Assume on-call responsibilities when required.
● Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Staff Management and Training:
● Manage daily clinical workflow to meet department deadlines.
● Train, evaluate, and maintain Pharmacist competencies.
● Manage department scheduling and approve time-off requests.
● Conduct periodic patient profile audits to ensure clinical appropriateness of medication orders.
Regulatory and Quality Compliance:
● Ensure compliance with payor regulations.
● Document medication errors for Quality Assurance review.
● Report product incidents and unresolved patient complaints.
● Develop clinical department guidelines and protocols as required.
● Participate in performance improvement programs and inspection agency surveys.
● Pursue continuing education relevant to job responsibilities and licensing requirements.
● Ensure patients are residing in a pharmacy licensed state.
Reporting and Communication:
● Report unresolved patient complaints, medication errors, delivery delays, and regulatory noncompliance to the
Pharmacist in Charge.
● Report interdepartmental issues, staff errors, task delays, and performance concerns to the Director of Production.
● Represent the company professionally in all job-related interactions.
Required Qualifications

Keep abreast of changes in payor policies and practices.
Educate medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff about the management, prescribing and monitoring of oncology therapies including chemotherapy agents.
Work in close collaboration with pharmacy medication safety officer to address medication errors and near misses and ensure that system issues resulting in those medication errors are resolved.
Develop standard work processes and staff education to address system gaps Participate in formulary management and review of medication use processes to improve timely delivery of patient care.
Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy and City of Hope policies and procedures.
