Salary Range: $103.39 - $127.88 Summary of Duties: Responsible for reviewing physician medication orders (EPIC CPOE) for appropriateness cost-effectiveness, monitor and adjust patient drug therapies according to many pharmacy driven protocols, and provide drug information to patients and other healthcare providers. Providing pharmaceutical care including anticoagulant, PK, renal dosing, IV to PO, insulin dosing, antimicrobial stewardship, and many other pharmacy protocols. About the role The Customer Care Pharmacist is a customer facing role that is responsible for consultations, clarifications, and customer service. This is a part-time position, reporting directly to the Customer Care Manager. What you'll do Verify order entries, charges, and inspections Review and interpret physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of healthcare professionals Counsel patients on drug therapies Offer excellent customer service to patients, providers, and vendors Develop staff's pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs; training pharmacy staff, students, interns, externs, residents, and health care professionals Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration; maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory; supervising the work results of support personnel; maintaining current registration; studying existing and new legislation; anticipating legislation; advising management on needed actions Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. This salary range may include multiple levels.
