Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

The Pharmacy Solutions Advisor (PSA inside sales) will sell and promote specialty pharmacy services to establish a strong network between Axium and various pharmaceutical manufacturer representatives and other health care providers. PSA will represent Axium Healthcare Pharmacy as a key point of contact to physicians within a designated region to ensure operational consistency for medical offices regarding patient processing. This position requires focus on outbound calling, proactive planning, tracking and coordination of sales efforts with assigned Business Development Manager (BDM) and/or Pharmacy Solutions Consultant (PSC- outside sales).

Partner

Manage

objectives through call routing schedule.
Properly
cultivate MDO accounts while fully understanding and accurately promoting
Axium's service model.
Achieve
monthly revenue and admit goals.
Promote
and represent Axium in a professional manner at all times.
Conduct
an overall “Needs Assessment” on all new referrals to Axium.
Serve
as the key point of contact between Axium and Physician offices.
Place
outbound calls and send faxes to Physician offices regarding patient
status of authorization, patient assistance, shipment status, indigent
status and transfers to other pharmacies.
Contact
physician offices for prescriptions, lab work, and/or clinical information
that will assist with authorization approval as required by plan.
Troubleshoot
and facilitate appropriate actions on patient orders with operations team
members as needed and in the appropriate manner.
Communicate
effectively among management and physician contacts in an effort to offer an
exceptional experience for all clients/customers of Axium.
Possess
excellent customer service skills, demonstrating these skills daily.

Work Environment

Qualifications:
Requires a graduate degree from an accredited Pharmacy School approved by a state board of Pharmacy or accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
Hold and maintain an active and unrestricted Pharmacist License free from any pending adverse actions and the ability to be favorably credentialed by Acuity policy.
Minimum of five years of experience as a registered practicing pharmacist.
All Healthcare Providers and medical support staff must have a recent clinical experience in patient care for a least 6 months out of the past year.
Experience in both Hospital and Ambulatory Pharmacy, and expertise in both outpatient and inpatient drug therapies.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification is required.
Must be able to multi-task, be detail-oriented, be organized, and have excellent verbal and communication skills.
Proficiency with computers and common office equipment, as well as with MS Office products required.
Must be able to perform duties in a stressful and high-paced environment.
Ability to adapt to sudden changes and flexibility in work requirements to include potential shift changes based on operational needs and/or command priorities.
Must have a valid U.S. passport with no less than 6 months remaining before expiration.
Must have a valid, current U.S. Driver's License.
Shall be proficient in the ability to speak, write, and communicate in English.
Requires a favorably adjudicated CNACI investigation conducted by the Department of Defense.
Must sign an International Assignment Agreement (IAA) and is bound to the terms and conditions of the IAA.

The Pharmacy Specialist assists the Pharmacy team in the administrative and technical operations of the pharmacy. Primary Responsibilities:
Drug Management & Compliance: The Pharmacy Specialist assists staff in the receipt, storage, dispensing, and return of drug products while acting as a liaison with Pharmacy management, Clinical teams, Project Managers, and Operations. This role prepares and reviews the accuracy of labels, assists in packaging of doses, and accounts for all dosage units entering and leaving the Clinic per FDA regulations and guidelines and per study protocol requirements. The specialist assures proper protocol and regulatory procedures are followed in the receipt and handling of drug by team members and other staff responsible for dosing.
Quality Assurance: The Pharmacy Specialist assists in assuring that study drug product prepared and/or checked by pharmacy technical staff is of the highest quality standards to ensure the safety of the study participants and integrity of the study. This includes assisting with the completion of all required in-house sterile technique skills tests for all staff.
Training & Development: The Pharmacy Specialist assists in the continued evaluation of a training program for Clinic staff that interacts with the pharmacy, to assure compliance with pharmacy procedures.
Sponsor Relations & Study Close-Out: The Pharmacy Specialist interacts with sponsors and clients in regard to potential and on-going studies, explaining K2 Med procedures and responding to sponsor/client requests regarding handling of drug, close-out issues, and other operational matters. This role assures close-out of studies are handled properly, including ensuring drug is returned to sponsor, stored correctly, or otherwise managed depending on protocol and sponsor requirements.
Additional Duties: The Pharmacy Specialist performs other duties as assigned to support the expanding needs of both Phase 1 and outpatient pharmacy operations.
