Hours: Pharmacy hours are Monday-Friday: 8:00am-5:00pm, no nights, weekends, or holidays
Primary Responsibilities:
Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners
Provides information to customers about medications and their use
Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service
Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy
Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy
Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties

Required Qualifications:

Authorization to administer long-acting injectables or willing to obtain within 3 months of hire
The hourly range for this role is $43.17 to $84.95 per hour based on full-time employment. + Receive prescription and refill requests from customers and/or clinics and fill prescriptions requests efficiently and accurately and in a professional and courteous manner.

Scope of Work
Under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist, formulates, prepares, and delivers medications and pharmaceutical supplies. Exercises professional judgment in the interpretation of orders. Trained in medication reconciliation duties and pharmacy intern skills. Works with multiple medication automation systems.
* All essential functions must be performed under the direction and supervision of a pharmacist.
* Assist in the preparation, formulation, distribution, and dispensing of medications, including oral, injectable, topical, and intravenous admixtures.
* Clarify or transfer prescriptions, provide medication history and reconciliation, and counsel patients and families about medications while delivering excellent customer service through patient and family-centered care initiatives.
* While maintaining USP standards, prepare, reconstitute, filter, and label sterile and non-sterile compounded products, including chemotherapy.
* Manage inventory by restocking shelves, checking for expired drugs, ensuring appropriate medication storage and distribution, and maintaining accurate documentation and record-keeping.
* Provide drug information to healthcare professionals and review patient profiles for allergies, drug duplications, and drug interactions, following institutional policies.
* Participate in special projects and quality improvement initiatives and complete all Corewell Health assigned competencies by designated deadlines.
* (Outpatient pharmacy only) Administer vaccinations in compliance with protocols and policies once certified.
