Schedule Details In-Person (Laguna Hills, Ca) Monday to Friday 6:00am-6:00pm, Saturdays 7:30am-4:00pm (On-call, part-time) Duties and Responsibilities Provide exceptional customer service to patients, prescribers, internal staff, addressing inquiries, and ensuring their needs are met Supervise a team of pharmacy technicians by providing guidance, support, and maintaining a productive, professional and positive work environment Perform pharmacist duties with accuracy including: pharmacist verification 1 (PV1), pharmacist verification 2 (PV2); calling for and receiving prescription transfers promptly and accurately; ensuring patient safety through DUR and DDI review; and maintaining adherence to regulatory requirements Take responsibility for inventory management including: drug ordering duties as delegated; maintaining appropriate inventory levels; minimizing shortages or overstock situations; and loss prevention Comply with all state and federal regulations pertaining to the practice of pharmacy including record-keeping, controlled substance management, and patient privacy Maintain a clear and organized workflow and workplace to minimize errors and delays and to ensure that our customers receive their medications on time Identify and report any issues or problems to their direct manager, suggesting appropriate solutions or improvements Monitor and evaluate staff performance to ensure best practices are being followed; identifying training needs; providing feedback; and reporting any instances of carelessness or non-compliance to their direct Manager Collaborate with the team to prevent inefficiencies in the operation, suggesting process improvements and implementing best practices Perform recall duties as assigned, ensuring timely and accurate handling of any recalled medications or products Required Qualifications Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to empathize, communicate effectively, and resolve issues professionally Strong teamwork and leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and motivate a team of pharmacy technicians Detail-oriented approach with excellent organizational and time management skills Proficient computer skills, including experience with pharmacy software systems and electronic health records In-depth knowledge of state and federal regulations governing the practice of pharmacy Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care while managing multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines Strong problem-solving abilities, with the capability to identify issues and propose effective solutions Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed Education and Experience Requirements Valid Pharmacist license in CA, with a good standing and compliance with all licensing requirements Leadership skills Ability to effectively supervise a team AmeriPharmas Mission Statement Our goal is to achieve superior clinical and economic outcomes while maintaining the utmost compassion and care for our patients.
