Ensure that EHR resources support the safe and effective use of oncology medications and adhere to current guidelines and best practices. Education: Coordinate, facilitate, and provide education, training, competency assessment and performance improvement to pharmacists, pharmacy residents and other healthcare professionals for the appropriate use of antineoplastics as well as on best practices and the latest developments in oncology pharmacy. Collaborate with other disciplines to develop and implement best practices across the institute related to antineoplastic utilization. Quality and Performance Improvement: Contribute to the institution's antineoplastic stewardship program through compiling data and metrics on antineoplastic utilization in the outpatient and inpatient settings, reporting data and findings to relevant stakeholders. Monitor antineoplastic utilization practices to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes. Build and maintain databases and dashboards that support the work of the Antineoplastic Stewardship Program as required. Collaborate with the Department of Quality and Patient Safety in the assessment, mitigation and dissemination of antineoplastic-related safety initiatives. Stay updated on the latest advancements in oncology pharmacy and ensure that the pharmacy services align with current standards of care. Salary Range: $103.39 - $127.88 Summary of Duties: Responsible for reviewing physician medication orders (EPIC CPOE) for appropriateness cost-effectiveness, monitor and adjust patient drug therapies according to many pharmacy driven protocols, and provide drug information to patients and other healthcare providers.
