This role involves conducting research on the prevention of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), the promotion of child well-being, and the efficacy of a trauma-informed preventive intervention. There will be considerable opportunities for the Research Coordinator to participate in program evaluation, implementation of prevention programs, project coordination, recruitment, data collection and analysis, manuscript preparation, and grant writing. The position will entail some supervision and collaboration with graduate students, research assistants, and undergraduate students in the lab. All staff positions require the completion of a 1-year probationary period based on performance. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in social work, psychology, public health, or a related discipline required. Demonstrated experience in conducting intervention research, including focus groups, in-depth interviews, and curriculum development. Possess strong initiative and communication skills. Proficient in working with research data and performing relevant data analysis. Proven track record of working with diverse child and youth populations. Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU. Preferred Qualifications Doctoral degree in social work, psychology, public health, or a related discipline is preferred. Previous experience in intervention research areas, including trauma-informed care, social-emotional learning and development, and evaluation research, are highly desirable. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills are essential. Prior experience in intervention implementation and evaluation, as well as those who have experience teaching and working with youth in school or community settings.
