Plans, prepares, conducts and records complex bench level chemical/biochemical experiments. Prepares reports and analysis of results as related to product/process development improvement. Activities may be focused individual projects or assignments as a member of a project team which may include project leadership duties.

Required Work Experience:
Requires two to five (2-5) years of prior relevant experience often acquired in an academic or industrial environment with a Ph.D., at least 4 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree, or at least 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
Preferred Work Experience:
Experience in the clinical assay development and validation.
Experience with robotic liquid handling platform use and/or programming.
Experience with liquid chromatography - tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) method design and implementation.
Prior knowledge and/or experience in workflows for the quantitation of small metabolites, lipids, peptides and/or proteins will be valuable in this position.

SUMMARY:
The primary role of this position is to increase the number of referrals from our healthcare partner(s) by creating a positive home medical equipment experience for facility staff and patients. This person will work with our healthcare partner(s) to transition patients with home medical equipment needs from facility to home. This person will have extensive knowledge of the core products and services we provide and must be able to recognize latent product and/or service needs. This person must excel at establishing and maintaining good relationships.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Establish and maintain good relationships:
Integrates into the hospital care team (i.e., case managers, discharge planners, cardiopulmonary, social workers, hospitalists, etc.)
Participates in regular meetings with the hospital care team to identify and discuss HME discharge needs and opportunities.
Meets with patient/family members/caregiver to review HME discharge process, equipment orders, and identify other HME product/service needs.
Seeks feedback from our healthcare partner(s) and identifies opportunities to strengthen the partnership(s).
Has a good understanding of our healthcare partner's goals and expectations and how DASCO can help them achieve these metrics.
Works with DASCO Account Executive(s), Key Account Manager(s), Branch Manager(s), and/or other members of the DASCO team to create positive experiences for our healthcare partner(s) and the patients they serve.
Arranges education opportunities and/or luncheons for hospital departments involved in the HME referral process.
Increases number of referrals from our healthcare partner(s) and meets or exceeds other KPIs.
Home Medical Equipment Discharge:
Manages daily HME discharges timely and accurately.
Communicates to internal and external teams as needed to ensure smooth transition from facility to home (i.e., inventory availability, delivery times, insurance coverage, etc.)
Utilizes hospital medical records system(s) to gather patient demographic and medical documentation for patients referred to DASCO
Delivers HME to patient rooms for transition to home, provides equipment education, and completes all required paperwork
Inventory Management
Manages consignment accounts, including inventory and paperwork
Manages on-site HME inventory
All other duties as assigned.
If the associate has the appropriate clinical licensure (LPN, RN, or RT), occasionally performing delivery and/or providing instruction/troubleshooting for respiratory equipment, such as non-invasive ventilation, may be required during the normal course of business, as coverage for other DASCO clinicians, and/or coverage after-hours. At 90-days and during the Annual Review, a clinical competency will be completed by a member of the Clinical Management team.
