Clinical Therapists serve an essential role in the facilitation of group-based treatment using a cognitive-behavioral model. Elements of motivational interviewing and the Good Lives Model are used to address individual treatment needs. They are responsible for overseeing the treatment progress of individuals in their care, documenting such progress, and identifying emerging needs. Clinical Therapists work closely with members of an interdisciplinary treatment team to provide the treatment necessary to reduce risk of recidivism. An ideal candidate holds a master's degree in a human service-related field (e.g., social work, psychology, mental health counseling). Candidates must be LICSW or LMHC-eligible, but licensure is not required at the time of hire. Ideal candidates are conscientious, intellectually curious, excellent team players, maintain strong boundaries, and possess good clinical writing skills. Candidates who thrive in a fast-paced environment with challenging clinical cases are especially well-suited for this position. Individual clinical supervision is provided on a weekly basis at no cost to Clinical Therapists, and weekly group and small-team supervision is also provided; candidates should be open to the clinical supervision process, as well as receptive to and willing to implement feedback. Prior experience working in the field of sexual abuse treatment and prevention is not required; all necessary training is provided following official hire. Clinical Therapist candidates with independent licensure may be considered for promotional opportunities, which includes leading treatment teams. Clinical Therapists are required to work on site at the Massachusetts Treatment Center from 8AM until 4PM; nights and weekends are not required.
