Graduates from clinical programs and associate level clinicians interested in obtaining independent licensure are supervised by seasoned supervisors who meet the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AzBBHE) requirements for clinical supervisors. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Provide psychotherapy specific to the client's identified treatment needs through individual, family or group therapy. This could include, but not be limited to, trauma-focused treatment, CBT, play therapy and other evidenced-based treatments Provide client advocacy and assistance when appropriate to the client's clinical progress Ensure that each client has appropriate clinical documentation, including but not limited to, clinical assessments, individualized treatment plans, progress notes, crisis plans and discharge plans Meet treatment standards as specified in contracts or special grants, and agency protocols in terms of timeliness of service, number and duration of services provided, and timeliness of paperwork and reporting completion Adhere to agency protocols, legal and contract requirements, and professional standards regarding documentation and electronic record keeping When clinically appropriate, advocate and assist clients in seeking other appropriate services or supports in the community Collaborate with outside agencies when necessary for the treatment of the client Attend weekly supervision as directed by Clinical Supervisor Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned WORK HOURS, SCHEDULE & FLEXIBILITY Work hours are afternoons and evenings to 8:00 PM Monday through Thursday, and morning and afternoon to 4:00 PM on Friday, and are located in office. Job Title: Behavioral Health Counselor - Licensed Reports To: Director, Behavioral Health Services Job Summary: Provides direct client education and counseling services to assigned individuals and groups participating in CCHCI services. Qualifications and Requirements: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Job duties may be modified at any time based on business needs. Essential Job Duties: Provides intake, assessment, and behavioral health services for referred clients. Provides individual counseling services dependent on degree and licensure. For example, if LISAC, can only counsel for substance abuse related concerns. Documents and reviews documentation of behavioral health visits, such as, demographic data, treatment plans, psychosocial history, progress notes, discharge planning, etc. Completes continuing education according to licensing board in timely manner. Continues to be in good standing with licensing board and will complete renewals in timely manner to avoid lapse in licensure. Oversees and assists each assigned client with individualized service planning and reviews. Provides culturally sensitive therapy modalities and develops and provides new services. Assists in clinical discharge planning, referring clients to, or providing alternative services. Provides consultation and training to providers and staff about behavioral health services and clients. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to patients, internal providers and staff and other agency staff working in cooperation with the organization. The Outpatient Therapist is responsible for diagnosing and treating mental and emotional disorders for our outpatient clients, whether cognitive, affective, or behavioral, applying psychotherapeutic theories and techniques in the delivery of services for the purpose of treating such diagnosed mental and chemical addiction disorders. The successful candidates will have MSW, Masters in Counseling, LCSW or LPC licensing, a level one Fingerprint Clearance Card,, and will be able to work flexible schedule, Monday through Friday. Provide psychotherapy services to clinic clients, as scheduled, and document conducted group sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the client. Develop and track attainment of Intensive Outpatient (IOP) goals and objectives. Lead psycho-educational, therapy and process groups. Provide initial treatment planning for clients, based on assessment and coordinates any additional services needed and revises as necessary. Perform clinical assessment of individuals referred to the program. Coordinate inpatient referrals with appropriate hospital staff and assess patients on inpatient units for referral to the IOP/PHP as requested by the treatment team.
