The Family Advocacy Intervention Specialist (FAIS)
is a member of the multidisciplinary Family Advocacy Program (FAP) team and works in the following prioritized capacities:
The maltreatment component to assess families referred for suspected maltreatment and treats individuals, families, and groups whose maltreatment allegation(s) met criteria for maltreatment.
To provide voluntary, comprehensive prevention services (primarily home-based) to families to prevent the occurrence of family maltreatment.
To provide voluntary prevention counseling to individuals, families, or groups who are at risk for maltreatment.
The FAIS directs the development and implementation of secondary prevention services and provides community behavioral health education and family violence education/prevention training.
Requirements
Required Education and Experience/Qualifications:
Master's degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited school.
Licensed ClinicalSocialWorker at the independent level with current, unrestricted State license.
Must possess two years' full-time post-master's degree experience (within the last three years) providing clinical counseling services to adults and children experiencing family violence.
Must have experience as a group therapy facilitator or co-leader.
Must be able to obtain privileges at the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).

Technical Skills:

The Family Advocacy Treatment Manager (FATM)
is a member of the multidisciplinary Family Advocacy Program (FAP) team and provides the following services:
Assess and treat individuals, families, and groups whose maltreatment allegation(s) meet criteria for maltreatment.
Provide voluntary, comprehensive prevention services to prevent the occurrence of family maltreatment.
The FATM is the primary provider of treatment services for assigned maltreatment and prevention cases, coordinating services for families and monitoring client participation and progress utilizing the modalities of social casework, psychotherapy, and psycho-educational interventions.
The FATM completes psychosocial assessments in accordance with Air Force Family Advocacy Policies and Standards.
The FATM assesses for safety and continuously assist families with safety planning.
The FATM evaluates the effectiveness of the services provided.
Requirements
Education and Experience/Qualifications:
Master's degree from a Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) accredited school.
Licensed ClinicalSocialWorker at the independent level with current, unrestricted State license.
Must possess two years' full-time post-master's degree experience (within the last three years) providing clinical counseling services to adults and children experiencing family violence.
Must have experience as a group therapy facilitator or co-leader.
Must be able to obtain privileges at the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
Must obtain and maintain Basic Life Support Certification (Course C).
Must have transportation and a valid drivers' license.
Technical Skills:
Must be computer-proficient to work autonomously using Microsoft Office and possess data entry skills needed to create and maintain clinical records.

Fully Licensed Clinician Compensation:
Starting salary: $95,000 - $105,000/year
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver mental health services through in-home visits, community-based settings, or teletherapy
Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and provide therapeutic counseling
Maintain detailed, accurate documentation of client progress and treatment plans
Regularly evaluate treatment effectiveness, making adjustments to service plans as needed
Collaborate with a dynamic clinical team to ensure comprehensive care
Participate in case staffing, meetings, and conferences as necessary
Provide support for clients in managing behavioral health services
Conduct intake assessments and offer therapy for individuals, couples, families, and children
Use evidence-based practices to facilitate both group and individual sessions
Ensure compliance with facility and licensing standards
Provide continuous care and support for clients
Qualifications:
Fully licensed clinicians: LMFT, LCSW, CMHC
Current, unrestricted professional license to practice in the State of Utah
Previous experience in mental health therapy is preferred
CPR and Basic Life Support (BLS) certified
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
Highly organized with strong time management abilities

Co-facilitates with the program manager/case manager in creating a therapeutic milieu and positive peer culture within the facility. Works with the Clinic Administrative Director, Clinical Director, Program Director/managers, and Case Managers in navigating daily schedules.
Responsibilities and DutiesUnder the direction of the Clinical Director:
Guide and facilitate treatment planning (groups/individual) *facilitate sessions as directed*
Ensure program quality and efficiency
Clinical Documentation
Developing a safe, trustworthy relationship with clients to ensure client healing and progression
Encourage growth and awareness of clients individual psychotherapy needs
Facilitate and assist client in establishing appropriate treatment goals
Works closely with the Clinical Director to ensure program scheduling, structure, and services are running smoothly and acting in the best needs of the patients.
Provides individual therapy following ASAM criteria

Master level therapist or CSW needing supervision
Minimum of 1-year experience preferred in SUD/mental health treatment
Must have direct clinical and case management experience, group leadership experience and knowledge regarding addiction rehabilitation philosophy
Strong clinical and interpersonal skills, ability to lead and direct the work of others, and excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have basic computer user skills
