How You Will Contribute:
The Therapist is responsible for providing individual and group therapy sessions for clients in a specialized Outpatient facility. Position is responsible for assessing the therapeutic needs of the individuals and families, and for developing appropriate treatment. Therapists act as the primary contact for clients and families throughout the treatment process and serve as a client advocate with the treatment team. Position acts as a liaison with referral sources, clinical partners, and individuals to coordinate care throughout the treatment process.

What We Are Seeking
Position requires a master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy or psychology. Must hold CA licensure (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC), active associate number or intern number from the Board of Behavioral Sciences, in good standing. Position requires a minimum of one (1) year experience working with clients with substance use disorders and/or borderline personality disorder. Certification or significant experience in providing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), strongly preferred.

THE POSITION

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES
The classification Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is located in the Health Care Services Agency, within the Adult Forensic Behavioral Health Program, which provides mental health services to incarcerated clients in the County jail. This is the first-line supervisory level in the Forensic Behavioral Health Clinician series. Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisors provide day-to-day supervision, including the coordination and delegation of work/assignments, staff coverage, and performance evaluations. Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisors provide day-to-day supervision of a behavioral health care team of clinicians and daily operational leadership. Incumbents in this position may assist the Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Manager in administrative functions.
The Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is distinguished from the lower-level class of Forensic Behavioral Clinician II in that the latter does not have supervisory responsibilities. Requirements:
Act as the point-person for each assigned client and their family during treatment
Provide individual and family therapy to each client at a weekly frequency commensurate with the current level of care

This list will be used to fill any current or future vacant positions Adult Protective Services (APS) within the Social Services Agency, Department of Aging & Adult Services (DAAS). THE POSITION

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES
The classification Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is located in the Health Care Services Agency, within the Adult Forensic Behavioral Health Program, which provides mental health services to incarcerated clients in the County jail. This is the first-line supervisory level in the Forensic Behavioral Health Clinician series. Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisors provide day-to-day supervision, including the coordination and delegation of work/assignments, staff coverage, and performance evaluations. Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisors provide day-to-day supervision of a behavioral health care team of clinicians and daily operational leadership. Incumbents in this position may assist the Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Manager in administrative functions.
The Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor is distinguished from the lower-level class of Forensic Behavioral Clinician II in that the latter does not have supervisory responsibilities. It is further distinguished from the next higher class of Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Manager in that the latter may supervise a Forensic Behavioral Health Clinical Supervisor and has overall responsibility for program planning, development and evaluation, program reporting and statistics, and program outcome monitoring.
