Responsibilities
Position Overview:
Community Memorial Healthcare is hiring full-time master level behavioral health staff with excellent communication skills, clinical acumen, and passion for working with youth and their families. These positions play a key role in addressing behavioral health needs in primary care settings, improving access to services for children and their caregivers, and reducing health disparities among pediatric and vulnerable populations.
The Pediatric Behavioral Health Interventionist (BHI) supports the implementation and coordination of the Collaborative Care for Youth Innovation grant. This position operates within a Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) and Primary Care Behavioral Model (PCBH), integrating behavioral health into pediatric and young adult primary care settings. The staff provides screening, assessment, brief intervention, care coordination, and referral for patients with behavioral, developmental, or psychosocial needs. The role emphasizes early identification, family-centered support, and seamless transitions to appropriate care across child, adolescent, and young adult populations (ages 0-26 years).
The BHI staff is a core member of the collaborative care team. As a member of this team, you will work closely with primary care providers (PCPs), medical staff, psychiatric Interventionists, and other behavioral health professionals at Community Memorial Health to deliver comprehensive care that integrates mental and physical health. This position is based in Community Memorial Healthcare's outpatient primary care clinics and does not include hospital or inpatient responsibilities.

Qualifications
Required
* Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy
* One (1) year of experience working with children, adolescents and/or adults in a healthcare, behavioral, mental health, or social services setting
* Current and ongoing Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) considered insurable under CMH insurance coverage
* Current California Driver's License
Preferred:
* Two (2) years of experience working with children and youth, ages 0-18
* Bilingual in Spanish and English
* Basic knowledge of pharmacotherapy
* Strong organizational, communication, and documentation skills
* Proficiency in electronic health records and data tracking systems
* Training in evidence-based interventions (COCM, PCBH, CBT, MI, PST, or trauma-focused models)
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain professional composure in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE/LICENSE: Hold at minimum valid registration ACSW, AMFT, APCC or Registered Psychological Assistant.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to use various computers Software, Microsoft Office Suites.
Bilingual in Spanish required.
Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Valid driver's license is required for transporting youths. Any changes that occurs on your driving record must be reported immediately to supervisor and Human Resources.

Position Overview:
Provides psychotherapeutic services and support for youth (ages 0-26) and their caregivers. Provides assessment and diagnosis for psychological, emotional or behavioral disorders. The Pediatric Behavioral Health Clinician will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating mental health conditions, offering therapy and support that aligns with patients' overall healthcare goals. The role emphasizes early identification, family-centered support, and seamless transitions to appropriate care across child, adolescent, and young adult populations (ages 0-26 years).
Successful candidates will have the ability to manage common behavioral health concerns that present in primary care (e.g., depression, anxiety, ADHD, trauma). Candidates will be flexible in their treatment approach as well as adapt to the needs and concerns of patients up to age 26. Candidates should have comfort with utilizing psychological screening measures to assess the efficacy of their treatment plan and drive symptom improvement. The clinician will also provide clinical supervision weekly to unlicensed Behavioral Staff. This is a grant-funded position with a three-year term with possibility of extension.

Evaluates the changing mental health needs of the parent and makes adjustments accordingly.
Utilizes evidenced based practices that are appropriate to meet the clinical needs of the parent and family.
Collaborates with county partners, Child Welfare, Peer Support advocates, families and youth to provide comprehensive clinical care for the parent and to ensure program consistency and continuity throughout the day.
Acts as liaison with placement agencies and community services and works closely with mental health and child protective services, as well as law enforcement agencies, schools, employers, health and welfare, and recreation agencies to provide coordinated care.
Confers with treatment team members provides strength based, trauma informed approach to positive parenting and self-care and well-being. .
