Maintains agency-required annual training including client rights and grievances, safety training, infection control, and others as required by OHMHAS.
Remains free from citations by other providers or by consumers for unethical practice and meets the standard for their own profession.
Adheres to all organizational and departmental policies, including compliance with all behavioral and ethical expectations.
Participate in at least 6 hours of supervision for every 3-month period or meet the requirements of supervision required by license/registration (whichever is greater).

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

Participate in staffing with the cross-functional team and stakeholders.
Provide orientation to children in care.
When necessary, travel to provide community-based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
Complete all required documentation and training in a timely manner.
Consistently achieve established productivity thresholds.
Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community, including but not limited to, medical, educational, psychological, and social services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's or doctorate degree from an accredited program, university, or college in psychology, social work, counseling, marriage and family counseling, or other behavioral discipline in which clinical experience is a program requirement.
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure. (Non-licensed staff must be actively working towards licensure while employed and attain licensure within 3 years of employment date).
Bilingual English/Spanish fluency required to serve the children and families.
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, internet search, people management programs, smart phones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

SUMMARY: The Qualified Mental Health Specialist (QMHS) is a community-based, mobile individual responsible for providing Community Psychiatric Supportive Treatment (CPST) and Therapeutic Behavioral Support (TBS) services that address the individualized mental health needs of clients.
Services are directed towards adults, children, adolescents, and families, and will vary with respect to hours, type, and intensity, depending on the changing needs of each client as defined by an active Treatment Plan.
The purpose/intent of CPST/TBS is to provide specific, measurable, and individualized services to each person served. CPST services should be focused on the individual's ability to succeed in the community; to identify and access needed services, and to show improvement in school, work and family and integration and contributions within the community.

functional skills.
Implement PSR activities focused on restoring and supporting daily routines and
functioning, helping clients manage psychiatric or emotional symptoms in home, school, work, and community settings.
Use a strengths-based, person-centered approach to promote rehabilitation, skill-
building, and improved self-management within the client's natural environment.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate degree or high school diploma with a minimum of 3 years' experience working with youth and family populations.
Must be licensed in the state of Ohio.
Experience with youth, adolescents and young adults with mental health issues and concerns preferred.
Experience with multi-system youth, adolescents and young adult preferred.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Bilingual and/or Sign Language proficiency a plus.

Services may include individual and group counseling; crisis intervention; consultation; outreach and psychoeducation; referral; and liaison activities. Clinicians may also provide training and supervision for mental health trainees who are providing services at the Counseling Center with the appropriate license and designations. Staff Clinicians may serve as a liaison between the Counseling Center and one or more campus areas.
Clinical services

May be assigned to specific functional areas. Counselors may work as a liaison to more than one campus area.
Supervision and training
* Provide training/clinical supervision for Counseling Center trainees, who are enrolled in graduate programs in mental health fields and are providing counseling services to students. Supervision is of trainees in master's level graduate programs and may provide supervision to doctoral interns in the APA accredited doctoral internship program.
* Facilitate training seminars and programs for Counseling Center trainees.
Administration and support
* Coordinate or oversee various activities and/or functions in the Center (e.g., group services, outreach programming, training experiences, electronic record-keeping systems)
* Complete documentation, correspondence, and case management in a timely manner
* Provide service to the Counseling Center, Division, and University
* Other duties as assigned
The following Education is required:
* Master's degree required. Degree must be obtained before start date.
* Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or related field preferred.
The following Experience is required:
* 1 year experience in the provision of mental health services, which can include up to a 2 year supervised internship.
* 2 years of internship experience counts as 1 year of professional experience.
