The position of Counselor at Blue Ridge Mountain Recovery Center is an integral component of our multidisciplinary treatment team for substance abuse and trauma treatment. A qualified candidate must possess coping skills to deal with multiple caseloads, duties & priorities, as well as have excellent communication & documentation skills. This is an on-site, full-time position, Monday - Friday, some Sundays (if on Sunday, off Friday). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct individual, group, or family counseling sessions as scheduled, and document as required. Facilitate assigned group or family sessions and assist with modifying problem behaviors. Responsible for initial assessments, as well as follow-up assessments for patients. Work involves coordinating inmate programs and activities, managing inmates, and preparing reports.
