Qualifications:
Education: Degree preferred. Must have relevant experience that relates to behavior interventions and supports.
Certification: None is required.
Experience: A minimum of three to five years' experience working with students with significant behavioral needs.
Skills and Knowledge: Proven ability to work with a team of educators and administrators to develop and support behavior management systems. Strong ability to utilize data to develop behavior management plans and systems. Ultimate team player and natural ability to work with educators to implement plans for students. Good organizational, communication, and technology skills. Knowledge of student disabilities and strategies to address them.
Other: Ability to maintain a positive relationship with pupils, staff, parents, and the community.

The RSO Clinician is responsible for reviewing key documentation, including the CANS and psychological evaluations, in order to have a thorough understanding of the needs of the youth. The RSO Clinicians assist with overseeing that the clinical needs of the youth and ensuring that their treatment is individualized.
The RSO Clinician works collaboratively with DCS, the Wraparound Facilitator, Residential facility, and the family to identify the needs of the youth and recommend the appropriate level of care to meet his or her needs. When a youth enters into a residential facility, the RSO Clinician works closely with the facility to ensure that the youth is receiving the appropriate level of care and treatment to ameliorate the need for extended residential placement.
The RSO Clinician assures care is delivered in a manner consistent with strength-based, family- centered, and culturally competent values, monitors progress toward treatment goals and assures that all necessary data for evaluation is gathered and recorded. In addition to this, the RSO Clinician maintains contact with the youth through monthly visits and through the participation of team meetings. The RSO Clinicians ensure that there is discharge planning that includes identifying community based supports and aftercare services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prioritize resources and available Medicaid funding to assure that placements and services are based on the unique needs of the child and family.
Ensures compliance with the service standard and all elements of the Task Time Line.
Review referral information, CANS assessment, and other medical/psychological recommendation to determine if a child needs a more restrictive level of care.
Work with placement facilities, Wraparound Facilitator, DCS staff, and the family to identify an appropriate placement for the child.
Work with the placement facilities and other members of the child's placement/treatment team to prepare and request prior authorizations for placement and services through DCS, CMHI, or Medicaid for the Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility or State Operated Facilities.
Monitor service delivery by participating in monthly team meetings to ensure services are meeting the needs of the youth. Team meetings must include attendance by the parent/caregiver and the clinical staff at the placement facility.
Visit with the youth at least one time per month in the placement facility.
Completes court reports for DCS prior to any scheduled court hearings.
Willingly completes other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Choices.
Qualifications
Minimum of a master's degree in social work or related human services field is required in most contracts. A doctorate degree in social work or related human service field is preferred and may be required by some contracts.
Current clinical license issued by the Indiana Social Worker, Marriage and Family Direct Worker or Mental Health Counselor Board as one of the following: 1) Clinical Social Worker, 2) Marriage and Family Direct Worker, 3) Mental Health Counselor.
Three years of clinical/management experience in human services field preferred.
Demonstrates two or more years of clinical intervention skills.
Demonstrates skill in fiscal management activities, team building, and development.
Strong knowledge of and genuine respect for youth and adults with mental health issues and a firm commitment to empowering their families.
Strong communication and writing Bilingual skills (especially Spanish) a plus.
Must have a working knowledge of the CANS assessment. Certification is a plus.
Must align with the principals of Wraparound.
Highly organized and detail oriented.

Responsibilities
Actively supports, represents, and extends the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
Provides appropriate individual, group, and family mental health services, case management, transportation, and other professional services, meeting or exceeding established outcomes thresholds on behalf of persons served.
Travels daily, to provide community based services to, and on behalf of, youth and families in compliance with organizational, contract, and regulatory requirements.
Consistently achieves established productivity thresholds.
Coordinate and monitor services for the youth and family in the community, including but not limited to, mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social services.
Regularly reviews and modifies youth based plans to assure consistent progress and success on written plan goals.
Establishes and maintains strong relationship with assigned foster parents and families of origin.
Assists in family reunification and/or stabilization efforts with the youth's primary family or other permanent living arrangement consistent with the youth's case plan.
Provides safety assessment, crisis response, and behavioral stabilization services as required to assure safety and stability for youth served
Minimum Qualifications
Master's Degree in Social Work or comparable Human Services field from an accredited institution.
2 years of work experience working in direct service with youth and families strongly preferred.
A valid advanced professional license: LPC, LCPC, LMFT, or LMSW preferred, or license-eligible.
Must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record.
A willingness to work flexible and non-traditional hours in the service of foster caregivers, families of origin, and persons served.
Capacity to be flexible and responsive to youth served, foster caregivers, system partners, and internal customers.
Capacity to remain objective and professional in all areas of job function.
Demonstrates tolerance and respect for the ideas and actions of others.
Capacity to effectively work with and be respectful and sensitive to persons from various cultures, socioeconomic, ethnic, religious, and racial backgrounds.
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing, spreadsheet and database programs.

10-18 hours per week, depending on student need. The Mental Health Clinician works directly within our alternate day placement program for students who demonstrate challenging behaviors. The clinician provides direct and indirect trauma-informed support to students, families, and staff to improve social-emotional well-being, behavior, and academic performance. This role focuses on removing barriers to learning through individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, SEL lessons, family support, and coordination of services within and outside of the school system. Candidates must hold an active Indiana license as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) or LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor).
QUALIFICATIONS:
* Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling.
