Areas of responsibility:
Prepares for individual patient contacts and assessments through review of medical charts and pre-appointment contact with patient, family, and caregivers. Prepares intake summary information for the inpatient unit.
Identifies behavior goals for hospitalization, assist team in the development of behavior programming and data collection. Reviews data with psychologist as necessary and develops additional assessment and treatment plans.
Assists in gathering objective data for behavioral assessment and treatment implementation.
Actively involved in implementing behavior treatment on the unit and coaching staff with frequent involvement in prevention of challenging behaviors, de-escalation and crisis management.
Coordinates behavior programming with interdisciplinary team members. Consults with interdisciplinary team members and provides training for staff as appropriate.
Completes literature reviews and continuing education in the area of applied behavior analysis and dialectical behavior therapy.
Must be able to effectively prevent and de-escalate potential crisis situations following training and support from interdisciplinary team. Consultant will regularly be working in situations where physical aggression and property destruction will occur.
Assures quality in program delivery through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
Communicates with internal and external stakeholders regarding patient goals, progress, behavior recommendations, and placement.
Manages day-to-day operations of service, including attendance at all team functions.
Assists in discharge planning, as appropriate.
Assists in the creation of training materials and conducting training as appropriate. May include follow-up with care providers following discharge from unit.
Assists in writing reports, including treatment recommendations.
Assists in training (e.g. practicum students, interns, graduate assistants) as appropriate
Assist in program development, assessment, and behavioral treatment for individuals with severe challenging behaviors. Patients may have a history of mental illnesses, intellectual disabilities, or medical illnesses that make them vulnerable.
Percent of Time: 100%
Shift: Rotating shifts between 0700-2300, rotating days of the week including alternating weekends and holidays.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education or related field is required
Experience Requirements
Minimum of one year of direct experience working directly with individuals with challenging behaviors such as verbal and physical aggression, property destruction, or self-harm.
Excellent verbal communication skills; including demonstrated positive interpersonal skills and experience leading and/or participating as a member of work teams and groups.
Proficiency in computer software applications, including demonstrated experience using email, spreadsheets and word processing programs.
Demonstrated experience working effectively in a welcoming and respectful workplace environment.
Desired Qualifications

Document treatment plans, psychotherapy sessions, and treatment plan updates according to Eventus WholeHealth's procedures and policies and provide the facility with written documentation within 48 hours of service for inclusion in the patient's facility medical record.
Meet with Resident Care Coordinator or other staff as designated by the facility upon arrival to and departure from facility to review current facility care needs and communicate findings or concerns.
Establish and maintain open and positive communications with facility staff and administration. Provide verbal and/or written instruction or feedback regarding treatment plans and other pertinent caregiver information.
Be knowledgeable of and adhere to Eventus WholeHealth standards, policies, and procedures. Be aware of and adhere to all legal and regulatory agencies' rules and guidelines and professional ethical standards. Comply with all regulatory agencies governing health care delivery.
Conduct self in a professional manner at all times.
Maintain patient confidentiality at all times including appropriate use of cell phone, email, text messaging, patient records, and EMR. Agree to abide by and be knowledgeable of HIPAA rules and regulations.
Consult with the clinical supervisor when facing an unfamiliar resident, family, or facility request or recommendation regarding the care of a resident.
Qualifications/Education: Psychologists-Doctoral degree from an accredited educational institution and a current license as a doctoral-level Psychologist and Health Services Provider issued by the state in which you will practice, required. Licensed Clinical Social Workers-Master's degree in social work, and a current license to practice in the state in which you will practice, required. Knowledge:
Knowledge of assessment techniques, psychotherapy techniques, population-specific interventions, and delivering care following treatment plan.
Knowledge of how to use a variety of diagnostic tools and techniques, including the current edition of the DSM.

Our program includes a first and second-year training protocol. At the time of acceptance, fellows will be provided a one-year employment contract. Basic Function

Requirements:
* Master's degree or higher in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.

At Four Oaks, Residential Therapists are a key member of the treatment team within our Psychiatric Medical Institute for Children (PMIC) assess and treat therapeutic needs.
Therapists provide mental health services and partner with case professionals to provide clinical direction, assuring best outcomes for each client from admission to discharge.
Therapists complete clinical assessments, treatment plans, individual, family and/or group therapy.
Therapists are able to utilize assessments to determine therapeutic or behavioral health needs and make referrals deemed appropriate to improve client outcomes.
Therapists are able to obtain additional training to help advance them in their practice.
Therapists have the opportunity to attend case consultation group with colleagues as another avenue for professional growth.
Therapist are supported through regular supervision, agency supports, and developed policies and procedures.
Supervision hours towards full-licensure are available, if needed.

To qualify you must have a Master's Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling or Marriage and Family Therapy. Eligible licenses include: LMSW, LISW, LMHC, tLMHC, LMFT or tLMFT. Four Oaks will provide supervision towards full advanced licensure.
