The Department of Neurology and Neurological Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking board-eligible or board-certified neurologists to join the Department as a Clinical Assistant Professor, Clinical Associate Professor, or Clinical Professor in the Clinician Educator line. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate.

The major criterion for appointment, reappointment and promotion for Clinician Educators is excellence in the overall mix of clinical care and clinical teaching appropriate to the programmatic needs the individual is expected to fulfill. Successful applicants will be encouraged to interact with the wide range of clinical, translational, and basic science programs at Stanford.

Responsibilities will include care of general and subspecialty neurology patients, and teaching of medical students, residents and clinical fellows. For qualified candidates, opportunities are available to participate in research, quality improvement, and development of innovative care programs. Faculty will work in our hospital and clinics at Stanford Health Care (SHC), Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital (LPCH), and/or outreach sites in the San Francisco Bay Area including Stanford – Valley Care in Pleasanton.
**QUALIFICATIONS** :


Candidates must have an MD or equivalent. Fellowship training in a neurology subspecialty, such as autonomic disorders, child neurology, general (comprehensive) neurology, intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring, movement disorders, neurobehavior/dementia, neurocritical care, or neurohospitalist is highly desirable. Necessary qualifications include board certification or eligibility (ABPN), eligibility for a California medical license, and suitable clinical and teaching experience.

Wound Clinician(2229979) Description The Wound Clinician provides wound care services in accordance with applicable federal, state, regulatory, and company standards to ensure the delivery of quality patient care is rendered at all times. The Plan of Care and physician orders are followed with regard to wound care treatments. This position functions under the direction of the Wound Care Coordinator, demonstrating above average communication skills, personal integrity, and works effectively with patients, family members, physicians, staff, and outside agencies as required.
*20,000.00 sign-on bonus available
Qualifications License or Certification:
- Licensed clinician (RN, LPN/LVN, PT, OT) active in the state
- Certification in Wound Care and Management (preferred)
- CPR certification required
Minimum Qualifications:
- Continuous updating of wound care knowledge through seminars and professional organizations is required.
- Minimum two years of experience in wound care.
Machines, Equipment Used:
- General office equipment such as computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner, etc.
- Microsoft Office software, to include Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
- Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity.
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds including medical supplies and equipment and the transferring and repositioning of patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Facilitate intake, admission and utilization review process for incoming patients.

Perform insurance benefit verifications, disseminating the information gathered to patient, their families and appropriate internal staff.

Provide accurate and ongoing assessment of patient's status in the admission and utilization process.

Respond to inquiries about the facility within facility policy timeframes.

Schedule/complete pre-admission assessments and communicate recommendations to patient or their family.

Collaborate with other facility medical and psychiatric personnel to ensure appropriate recommendations and admissions.

Provide accurate and ongoing assessment of patient's status in the admissions, intake and utilization process.

Provide education to patient and their family throughout stay.

Perform ongoing assessments of physical/function, emotional, social, spiritual and financial needs patients and implements crisis intervention and referral.

Provide education regarding healthcare and social resource systems to empower patient and their family to access resources independently.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

+ 3 years: Three plus years of mental/behavioral health experience working with individuals in a clinical or observational capacity, preferably within the area of specialty for the facility. Experience in the managed care pre-certification process, level of care assessments and utilization.
