The Medical Affairs Clinician (MAC) acts as an aesthetic product expert for advanced hands-on training on Merz Aesthetics' injection and device aesthetic portfolio. Provide on and off-label advanced injection and device training upon request of internal customers, including sales training and regional sales directors. The MAC team is responsible for developing and implementing strategies that; optimally provide thought leader/academic institutions and other key health care providers/organizations with timely and up-to-date scientific training on Merz Aesthetics' products; increase health care provider awareness and knowledge as it relates to the clinical application of aesthetic product-related treatments and uses; and work collaboratively with Medical Science Liaison (MSL) colleagues to provide support with congress management, coverage, and competitive intelligence.
Responsibilities:
Advanced Hands-On Training of Merz Injection and Device Aesthetic Portfolio
* Provide hands-on advanced clinical instruction upon request from field Regional Directors, Training, or external customers.
* Provide internal training to educate sales on on-label over-the-shoulder training.
* Work with advanced practices and residency programs to build and maintain long-term relationships.
Medical Congress Management
* Work collaboratively with the MSLs on profiling/planning for assigned medical meetings.
* Observe and audit relevant sessions at medical meetings, follow up on educational opportunities (i.e., misinformation), and provide post-meeting reports on educational value and competitive intelligence.
Maintain Expert Status for Advanced Injection and Device Applications
* Maintain up-to-date practice skills and awareness of innovations in the aesthetic space. Incorporate techniques of current aesthetic trends from peer-to-peer trainings and congresses as needed.
Requirements:
* RN, NP, or PA-C.
* Must have an active license, in good standing, in the state where they currently live.
* 3+ years of aesthetics experience, including injectables.
* Ability to travel a minimum of 60% in the field; travel may include weekends and overnights (attendance at key opinion leader office visits and/or medical meetings.)
* The MAC is required to maintain up-to-date practice skills and awareness of innovation in the aesthetic space.
Knowledge and Skills:
* Strong clinical knowledge in relevant therapeutic areas.
* Excellent verbal and presentation skills.
* High level of competency with use of computer, mobile electronic devices, and customer relationship management ("CRM") systems.
* Strong multi-tasking, time management, and organizational skills.
* Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
Performs moderately complex testing with portable bedside laboratory devices in accordance with CLIA standards.
Performs moderately complex procedures under the guidance of the Medical Director.
Manages donor during organ recovery to include hemodynamic management, medication therapy, and ventilation.
Provides real-time clinical and administrative expertise and oversight aimed at maximizing donation during the referral and recovery processes for organ cases.
Maintains the highest standards of professional conduct and interpersonal relationship development, promoting a positive and collaborative work environment.
Completes referral evaluations for the purpose of determining organ and tissue donor suitability based on NDN, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), OPTN/UNOS, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines and recommendations.
Completes hospital medical record review, including history of present illness and past medical history, the presence of past or present malignancies, and all surgical interventions/treatments.
Collaborates with hospital staff to evaluate and physiologically manage the donor to achieve optimal organ function.
Understands and complies with procedural aspects and requirements of blood, culture and typing specimen collection and labeling.
Reviews and documents required information within the donor record, including labs, diagnostics, and procedural records.
Ensures that donated organs are allocated in an efficient, equitable, and timely manner in accordance with NDN and OPTN/UNOS policies.
Ensures organs and tissue will be recovered and preserved to maximize utilization in accordance with NDN and OPTN/UNOS policies.
Complies with NDN and OPTN/UNOS policies regarding documentation, maintenance, and confidentiality of records.
Participates in process improvement and data development projects, including case reviews and research opportunities.
Contributes to interdepartmental training and education, including preceptorship, case study presentation, and learning event participation.
Fulfills additional individual and departmental directives, obligations, and responsibilities, as designated.
Requirements
Education: Associate degree or higher in nursing, respiratory therapy, paramedic medicine, related biological science (including human donation science), or medical school degree (including foreign degree programs) required. Bachelor's degree or higher in nursing, respiratory therapy, or related biological science preferred.
Experience: Critical care experience or organ donor management experience preferred.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) preferred. Microsoft Outlook preferred. Electronic medical records (e.g., Cerner, Epic, Meditech) preferred.

TIME COMMITMENT
The Discovery Children's Museum YouthWorks internship program is for six months and may be extended for an additional six months. All incoming interns are part-time working alternating weekends (one on, one off). An extended Intern status (work every weekend during the academic year) is optional after 30 days.
During the academic year, interns must be available to work Saturdays from 9:45 to 5:00 and Sundays from 11:45 to 5:00, at least every other weekend. Departure time is dependent on completing gallery closing procedures.
During summer, winter, and spring breaks (and certain holidays), interns must be willing to work a “
flexible schedule.”.
During these time frames, interns will attend a team meeting and/or workshop at least once a month, either in person or virtual. These meetings are mandatory.

Provides individual treatment plan after completion of assessment which is subject to amendment until services to the client are terminated.
Enters progress notes in each patient's chart after each treatment service. Progress notes must reference the individual treatment plan.
Provides individual and group counseling, client education strategies to avoid inappropriate chemical use and health problems related to chemical use, transition services, and services to address issues related to co-occurring mental illness. Works cooperatively as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Initiate and maintain ongoing communication with patient referral, probation, social service agencies, etc.
Appropriately utilizes established resources to assist in completing case management duties independently.
Documents treatment provided to patients in their medical record based on established case management guidelines.
Completes all reports for suspected abuse as legally mandated and consistently informs supervisor.
Schedule is Sunday - Thursday
Requirements
Masters Degree required
Current Nevada CADC, LADC or LCADC licensure required.
One (1) year clinical experience in an inpatient or Alcohol and Drug Abuse facility.
Experience with therapeutic limit-setting helpful or an understanding of level systems or other behavior management modalities helpful.
Ability to maintain professional boundaries.

Job Description
The Intake Counselor will help assess the needs of walk-in and telephone callers and ensure their referral to the service or resource to best address their needs.
Responds to telephone and face-to-face inquiries from persons seeking mental health care or information about mental health-related services.
Conducts screenings or assessments to determine needs of treatment and facilitates the patient's access to the appropriate level of care and setting.
Assumes responsibility in maintaining a safe, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for all patients.
Demonstrates good skills in assessing client's crisis and clinical indicators via phone and in-person - documenting such. Prepares written report of assessment results in a timely manner (immediately following completed assessment) and includes recommendations for the level of care and treatment needs.
Makes appropriate interventions during assessments, and crisis situations with clients, family/friends and other professional staff.
Assists clients who are not admitted into a program with follow through of clinical referrals and recommendations.
Provides pertinent clinical information to physician and program staff who will be reviewing the patient, to ensure a smooth transition for the patient.
Requirements
Masters degree in Social Work or related field required
