Bringing a counselor into our team will enable us to serve clients to best of our ability. Our families have expressed a higher level of satisfaction when they are receiving consistent, reliable services under one roof. This reduces their travel time to a variety of clinics, they experience a streamlined billing process, and build a relationship with our clinical and administrative teams. Many of our clients, and subsequently their families, face mental health challenges secondary to primary diagnoses, listed above. We believe that the trust and care we build with our families will naturally extend to the realm of counseling. We are looking forward to providing this support to our clients and their families. Ideally, families would be able to seek assistance for themselves and their children in individual, family and group therapies. Currently, Treehouse Pediatrics has close to 200 weekly clients for its existing services. Of these families, many seek behavioral and mental health services from a variety of locations. Our therapists consistently refer clients and their families out of our clinic to meet these needs. With our current client base, we feel minimal marketing would be required to build a caseload for a Treehouse Counselor. About the Role: The Addiction Counselor plays a crucial role in supporting individuals struggling with substance use disorders. This position focuses on providing comprehensive assessments, developing personalized treatment plans, and facilitating group and individual counseling sessions. The counselor will work closely with clients to help them understand their addiction, develop coping strategies, and achieve their recovery goals. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with other healthcare professionals and community resources to ensure a holistic approach to treatment. Ultimately, the Addictions Counselor aims to empower clients to lead healthier, more productive lives free from addiction. Minimum Qualifications: Must have an Associate's Degree Continuing education in Alcohol/Chemical Abuse Treatment, and/or completed a minimum of sixty (60) hours field field-related seminars Two years of minimum work experience with the population served and/or case management. Must be at least 21 years of age. Current CADC is needed. Responsibilities: Recruit eligible clients in conjunction with Addictions Counselors, Program Managers, and the SUD Department Director. Assist in the recovery plan development of clients receiving alcoholism and other drug counseling. Conduct the intake process of clients in the absence of or unavailability of the Addictions Counselors. Participate in clinical staff meetings to assess each client's appropriateness for continued stay in the assigned level of care or discharge. Provide individualized case management and group education sessions to prepare clients in transitioning from community housing to independent living.
