Under direct supervision, generates numerical control machine programs with the help of Alphacam software. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Assists sales and customer service staff on technical aspects of customer inquiries. * Creates, optimizes, and maintains machine programs to ensure proper machining of millwork products within target timelines.
* Reviews AutoCad drawings to create rough material cut sheets to precise specifications. Uses Alphacam software or equivalent to program CNC machine to cut parts.
* Plans and assigns work tasks in order to meet daily, weekly, project, or team related production goals.
* Performs basic maintenance on machines. Trouble shoots problems with machine. Maintains a working relationship with machine manufacturers in order to resolve any machine problems regarding software, hardware or mechanical parts.
* Other duties may be assigned.

Train new employees on how to properly operate CNC machines and programs
Measure and examine completed parts to verify conformance to specifications using precision tools like micrometers and calipers

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize the tooling and machining processes

**A Brief Summary of This Position:**
Under the direction of the Production Supervisor, the CNC Shape Cutter Operator operates the CNC shape cutter machine with oxy-fuel and plasma torches to produce metal components.
**Shift: 1st shift (Days)**
**Mon-Fri 7am-3pm**
**Starting Hourly Rate: $23.64**
**Essential Functions:**
+ Read daily workloads to determine what parts are required, and prioritizes according to constraint and shipping buffers
+ Determine what material is needed, check material on hand, and order any other materials needed from Stores
+ Instruct material handler on what material to load and/or unload, which material to return to Stores, how to load table to maximize productivity
+ Check material for grade, thickness, and size
+ Color-code parts as required per routing
+ Read prints, determine tolerances, and check parts against prints to ensure quality of parts being cut. Based on the appearance and quality of parts being produced, makes appropriate adjustments to the processes, such as travel speed, tip size, tip replacement, gas pressures, kerf compensation, torch height, and other factors as needed to produce the desired quality.
+ Perform all functions associated with operation of the CNC/DNC shape cutting machine; start-up and shutdown procedures; transfer of programs to and from the host computer; setting up the programs to produce required parts; originating programs from standard shapes; modifying programs from oxy-fuel to plasma and from plasma to oxy-fuel; adjusting kerf settings
+ Need to understand all functions on CNC, i.e. plasma cutting tips/nozzle size and speed charts, oxy-fuel cutting tips and gas pressures, kerf settings, amperage settings, standard shapes, keyboard to computer, and appropriate instruction manuals
+ Perform daily, weekly, and monthly operator preventive maintenance
+ Communicate problems with CNC shape cutter or any other equipment to lead person, supervisor, and/or maintenance to ensure problem resolution
+ Use knowledge of the machine and its characteristics to assist maintenance personnel in maintaining and troubleshooting its system
+ Use and understand measuring instruments, i.e. tape measure, level, protractor, and micrometer
+ Determine optimum plate utilization to minimize scrap

* Inspect all finished products for accuracy and uniformity to ensure product quality and uphold company quality.
* Perform daily cleaning of the machine, monthly maintenance tasks to ensure machine longevity, including lubrication, cleaning, tool replacement, and will require insert change out on tooling.

Lasko Products, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of portable fans and heaters, is seeking a Mold Maker to work 2nd shift at our Fort Worth, Texas location.
The Mold Maker, using parts and/or mold prints, constructs plastic injection molds. Ensures plastic injection molds and related equipment are manufactured and maintained to perform to Company standards. Responsible for CAM programming, set up, manufacturing, and building of new injection molding tooling, tool repair, electrodes, and fixtures.
Essential Functions
Mold Fabrication and Modification:
Creating initial molds based on specifications, blueprints, or schematics.
Adapting and modifying existing molds to improve performance or address issues.
Fabricating mold components using various tools, equipment, and machinery.
Maintenance and Repair:
Performing preventative maintenance, including disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly of molds.
Troubleshooting and fixing mold malfunctions.
Maintaining and repairing existing tooling and molds.
Understanding and troubleshooting multiple types of hot-runner systems.
Quality Control and Inspection:
Using measuring and gauging tools to perform inspections before, during, and after molding operations.
Conducting quality control testing to ensure molds meet specifications.
Inspecting finished products for defects.
Process and Equipment Knowledge:
Understanding the injection molding process and equipment.
Understanding set-up and operation of molding machines.
Knowledge of materials used for injection molding.
Other Duties:
Collaborating with engineers, designers, and other team members.
Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Following safety procedures and regulations.
Participating in corrective and preventive action projects.
Documenting work performed on tooling maintenance and/or repair.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in mold making, machining, or a related field preferred but not required.
Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mold Maker or in a similar role.
Ability to work using manual machining equipment (i.e. - mills, lathes, surface grinders). Welding a plus.
Prior experience using Master CAM or SolidWorks software is a plus.
Strong understanding of Injection Molding processes and materials involved (scientific molding a plus)
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time as well as lift or maneuver heavy mold components up to 60 lbs.

We are seeking qualified candidates available to work the following days and times:
Day Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Night Shift: Monday - Friday 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set up, maintain and operate 3, 4 and 5 axis lathes and/or mills.
Operate mills and/or lathes to produce production parts and prototype parts with minimal supervision.
Review work orders to obtain part specifications.
Responsible for setting up tooling and fixtures independently.
Perform periodic inspections to ensure parts are within required tolerances.
Knowledgeable and able to operate either Haas or DMG Mori controls.
Able to edit programs under supervision to correct dimensional issues that may arise during initial set-up.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED; three to seven years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three to seven years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
At least 3 years of CNC experience

Requires reading, writing and basic to intermediate math skills.
Able to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
