Cloud 9 company history timeline

2013

Simon Boudreault, the founder and owner of the League of Legends team of Orbit Gaming, sold it to the former Team SoloMid manager Jack Etienne in May 2013.

2015

The starting midlaner for Team Liquid had originally made his North American debut with Cloud9 way back in Season 5 (2015) Summer Split.

2016

The team never came to fruition and Meteos sat out the 2016 Spring Split.

2017

Due to their low finish in summer, Phoenix1 and Meteos were not eligible for Worlds 2017.

2018

The 2018 season saw the inaugural season for the LCS franchising and four new teams; Optic Gaming, 100 Thieves, Golden Guardians and Clutch Gaming.

2019

New season, new team for Meteos, this time on Optic Gaming for the 2019 season.
