The Nuclear Fuels Engineering (NFE) department is seeking candidates who are passionate about nuclear energy's role in a clean energy future. Duke's NFE department is unique in the industry by owning and performing in-house methods and analysis for nearly all aspects of the fuel cycle, from contracting fuel supply to long term storage of spent fuel. Responsibilities
The Safety Analysis Models group is responsible for; developing and updating in-house transient analysis methodologies for the proposed power uprates and 24 month fuel cycle transitions at McGuire, Catawba and Harris Nuclear plants; for performing the UFSAR Chapter 15 accident analyses at the uprated power conditions; and for ensuring each reload core design, uprated or non-uprated, is performed in accordance with NRC approved methods and meet all limits.
Perform and review UFSAR Chapter 15 non-LOCA transient analyses
Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
Qualify and maintain computer codes used in calculating DNB limits or verifying other limits are met
Participate in reload core design teams to ensure each reload is designed to meet all applicable safety limits and are performed in accordance with NRC approved in-house methodologies
Collaborate/interface with Duke, industry, vendor, and regulatory personnel
Participate in technical training activities
Basic/Required Qualifications
Nuclear Engineer III
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
A Master 's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering
4-6 years of engineering experience
Minimum of 1 year of nuclear experience
Sr Nuclear Engineer
Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
A Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree
Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer
Minimum of 1 year of nuclear experience
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Fundamentals of Engineering Certificate and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license
Experience with core and thermal hydraulic codes such as RETRAN and VIPRE or their equivalents
Experience with PWR transient analysis
Experience with development and support of License Amendment Requests and 50.59 Evaluations
Familiarity with the basic systems of a Westinghouse or B&W NSSS reactor
Unix and/or Linux workstation experience
Computer programming experience (FORTRAN/Python/VBA/etc.)

The VP, Communications is a strategic leader responsible for shaping and executing the communications vision for AEP's Nuclear Development organization. The VP, Communications drives brand reputation, stakeholder engagement, and narrative development across all platforms, supporting business objectives and fostering a culture of transparency, trust, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications Leadership
Provide expert counsel to the President and executive team on communications strategy, messaging, and reputation management.
Develop and implement comprehensive communications plans that support business goals, regulatory requirements, and industry leadership.
Lead crisis communications, proactively preparing for and managing issues to protect and enhance the organization's reputation.

Brand & Narrative Management

Qualifications
Extensive Experience in Strategic Communications and Public Relations: The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10 years of experience in leading strategic communication initiatives and managing public relations for a large organization.
Strong Understanding of the Energy Industry: The VP, Communications needs to have a deep understanding of the energy industry, including the regulatory and policy landscape, as well as the company's role in the industry.

The Rate Analyst supports the company's regulatory, commercial, and financial objectives by conducting cost of service studies, designing rates, and preparing filings for interstate natural gas pipeline services under Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) jurisdiction . Job Description
What You'll Do:
Service and repair boom/pedestal assemblies of the Company's specialized equipment including troubleshooting equipment; inspect cables, chains and rods; inspect sheave liners; inspect and repair monitoring system; inspect fiberglass components; inspect turntable; remove and replace reduction gearboxes; inspect pins, bushings and bearings; and load test boom assemblies.
Service and repair hydraulic systems including troubleshooting the hydraulic system; inspect, remove and replace hydraulic pumps, motors, valves, cylinders and the accumulator; and remove and replace swivel collector block.
Service and repair heating and ventilation systems including diagnose A/C unit problems; conduct pressure test on A/C unit; check for leaks using appropriate devices; check internal system controls; replace compressor; service A/C clutch assembly; and replace compressor seals, refrigerant hose, condenser assembly, receiver dryer, and evaporator core.
Troubleshoot and repair winch assemblies.
Service and repair the steering system of Company vehicles including repair power steering pump and manual steering gearbox.
Service and repair the air brake systems of Company vehicles including air compressors, air brake chambers, and air control valves.
Service and repair hydraulic and electric braking systems including inspect and repair master cylinder; test power unit and vacuum supply; inspect power boost system; repair power brake system; and service and repair antilock brake system.
Inspect and service differentials and power dividers and transmission assemblies of Company vehicles including manual clutch, manual transmissions and transfer cases, transaxles (front-wheel-drive), and automatic transmissions.
Service and repair the fuel and exhaust systems including computer control system; test and repair diesel fuel pump; inspect and service intake and turbo system; service and repair fuel injection system (gas/diesel); and inspect and service governors.
Assist others in the diagnosis of more complex problems.
Operate Company vehicles and associated equipment and perform duties incidental to the operation of such equipment.
Maintain tools, equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintain records and submit reports as required.
Attend and participate in training as assigned and assist in the training of other employees.
Perform less skilled work as assigned.
Report irregularities and abnormal conditions.
Assist employees of equal or higher classification.
Direct the work of employees assigned to assist.
What We're Looking For:
Education: High school graduate or GED required.
Experience: At least 2 years of strong automotive mechanical diagnosis with hydraulic and diesel repair experience. Graduation from an automotive trade school with diesel engine experience is highly desirable.
Licenses/Certifications: Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license. Must obtain Class A CDL within 12 months of entry date into the Fleet Technician B classification or vacate the job classification. Must obtain Fluid Power Society Certification and two (2) applicable ASE certifications within 24 months of entry date or vacate the current job classification.
Other Must Haves:
These are additional expectations for the job and could include specific work experience, license / certifications, preemployment testing, expectations about travel, shift work, etc.
Must qualify through demonstration, examination and/or performance appraisal as determined by the Company.
Must exhibit competency and aptitude in the fundamentals and mechanics of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
Must become familiar with and have the ability to operate the computer systems utilized by the Fleet Services organization.
Must acquire within such time frame as determined by the company, the qualifications necessary to perform the duties of the Fleet Technician A, or vacate the current job classification.
Successful completion of the Tuff Tech pre-employment placement test is required for this position.

What you'll do:
* These positions will perform the logical programming and focus on optimizing performance of the distribution system in conjunction with AEP Distribution Engineers and System Planning Engineers. Grid Management investments are expected to grow rapidly as the transformation to a more modern grid ramps up over the next several years.
* This position will engage with other groups centrally at AEP Service Corp and with core groups at the Operating Companies. There will be interaction with multiple teams throughout AEP, which include, but are not limited to Telecom, SCADA, Station Engineering, Distribution Dispatch, Distribution Reliability, Distribution Planning, management and a wide range of field personnel. Distribution automation control schemes utilize the latest technology and result in higher reliability, lower cost, and energy efficient use of the distribution system.
* Distribution automation controllers require programming, check out of the programming, on-going maintenance of the programming as circuit topography changes and emergency maintenance if the system is not performing properly.

As an Environmental Specialist I/II/III (Air Compliance) you will ensure compliance by reviewing proposed equipment and operational changes against air quality regulations. You will manage environmental permits and oversee stack testing, working closely with testing agencies to confirm emissions remain within legal limits. Your day includes gathering operational data, submitting regulatory reports, and handling permit renewals under tight deadlines. You will stay current with evolving regulations, such as updates to the Clean Air Act, and guide operational adjustments to ensure compliance. This role also involves conducting site inspections, training field staff, and collaborating with engineering and operations teams on broader environmental initiatives.

Responsibilities
The Safety Analysis Models group is responsible for; developing and updating in-house transient analysis methodologies for the proposed power uprates and 24 month fuel cycle transitions at McGuire, Catawba and Harris Nuclear plants; for performing the UFSAR Chapter 15 accident analyses at the uprated power conditions; and for ensuring each reload core design, uprated or non-uprated, is performed in accordance with NRC approved methods and meet all limits.
* Perform and review UFSAR Chapter 15 non-LOCA transient analyses
* Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, and documentation
* Qualify and maintain computer codes used in calculating DNB limits or verifying other limits are met
* Participate in reload core design teams to ensure each reload is designed to meet all applicable safety limits and are performed in accordance with NRC approved in-house methodologies
* Collaborate/interface with Duke, industry, vendor, and regulatory personnel
* Participate in technical training activities
Basic/Required Qualifications
Nuclear Engineer III
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
* A Master 's degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor of Science in Engineering
* 4-6 years of engineering experience
* Minimum of 1 year of nuclear experience
Sr Nuclear Engineer
* Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
* A Master's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited school will be considered in lieu of the B.S. Engineering degree
* Minimum of 6 years of engineering experience or 5 years of engineering experience with state registration as a Professional Engineer
* Minimum of 1 year of nuclear experience
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelor of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering from an ABET accredited program
* Fundamentals of Engineering Certificate and/or Professional Engineer (PE) license
* Experience with core and thermal hydraulic codes such as RETRAN and VIPRE or their equivalents
* Experience with PWR transient analysis
* Experience with development and support of License Amendment Requests and 50.59 Evaluations
* Familiarity with the basic systems of a Westinghouse or B&W NSSS reactor
* Unix and/or Linux workstation experience
* Computer programming experience (FORTRAN/Python/VBA/etc.)
