    Wordware

Co-Founder Job 10 miles from Alameda

what is wordware? we're building the all-in-one platform for AI development. here's what that actually means: the core: a programming language for building just AI assembly language for the new reasoning unit (LLM) is English, so let's put it front and centre and incorporate best concepts from software engineering: conditional statements loops function calling functions (aka in fancy language multi-agent communication) - this is more difficult than it seems because of the needed type system (see below) type system (especially important for interacting with multimodal LLMs where one output might have to be transformed to be passed on forward to the next step of the flow which might incorporate an LLM which can only interact with specific modalities) easy linking with Tools (custom or prebuilt and ready to use: speech-to-text, image generation, ElevenLabs, research and many more the ide: where the magic happens like notion met vscode and had a baby. build and test AI flows instantly, see results in real-time, iterate fast. deployment: choose your flavor api mode: plug your AI engine straight into your product forget about prompt management hell focus on features, not infrastructure workflow mode: automate your work with triggers and actions start small, scale to entire business processes connect everything - it's an operating system for AI wordapps & repository: deploy as public/private web apps share your flows github-style let others fork and build on your work control what people see (from basic UI to full process) As in the description: you should have context so you can join with little onboarding if you have incredible credentials (incredible = raised more than 5mm as a founder, got a product to 500k ARR, main person responsible for an amazing product at a bigger company) apply and let's have a chat! ps: we're backed by spark capital, felicis, and y combinator ($30m seed - biggest out of YC round) but we still work like a seed startup. you'll be one of the first people showing the world how to build with AI in plain english.

We provide the infrastructure for founders from all backgrounds to build groundbreaking companies that tackle the world's biggest problems. Our tried and true methodology helps startups reach escape velocity faster, cheaper, and while having a lot more fun. Our studio team does real work, we don't waste time, and we've seen the traps that most startups fall into so we can help you steer clear of the potholes along the way. Platform's creators, serial entrepreneur Jeremy Burton and 2020 Midas List investor Tim Connors, have 60+ years of combined experience developing highly successful startups. In addition to support from our studio team and other portfolio companies, we have an 80,000+ strong community of coaches, investors, future customers, and advisors for you to lean on. We value results. We worship data. We don't chase fads. We build companies that change the world for the better. About the Founder-in-Residence Role A Founder-in-Residence (or "FIR") is an entrepreneur we partner with to build a venture-backed company that solves an Unmet Need. Typically, we begin a partnership with a FIR to develop an idea that is still in its infancy Please review our Founder Deck here for more information: ************************************* If you have already raised capital, or already found product-market fit and your unit economics work, then you are likely too late for our Founder-in-Residence program. We do make a select few traditional pre-seed investments in highly thematic companies. If you are interested in pitching for direct investment, please use Platform's DeckSend tool to send your deck for consideration: *************************************** We recommend reviewing this blog post prior to applying to determine if it makes sense for you to apply: ********************************************************************** What Platform FIR's Get Validated startup idea: A clear, unmet need in the real estate market with significant de-risking. Initial capital and access to our investor network: You will receive the funding needed to get off the ground and the backing of our extensive network of investors. Tried and true glide-path to success: We provide a roadmap of specific, measurable milestones to guide your journey, based on our extensive experience in building startups Talented, flexible, remote-first studio team: Our team brings deep expertise in design, engineering, research, talent, and growth to help you build, launch, and iterate efficiently. What We're Looking For Coachability: Being coachable is crucial for startup founders. It's about being open to learning, adapting, and growing from feedback. Successful founders refine their vision through continuous feedback, improving both their product and their sales strategies. Coachability keeps you aligned with the market, ready to pivot, and committed to solving problems in the best way possible. It's a key trait that shows you're ready for the startup journey. Sales Aptitude: Sales are everything in the early days of a startup. From fundraising to hiring to closing deals, everything revolves around selling. Instead of focusing on elaborate systems, start selling right away-get out there, make calls, and close deals. Sales aptitude is essential for getting your business off the ground. Ambiguity Tolerance: Embracing ambiguity is vital for startup founders. High ambiguity tolerance means being comfortable with uncertainty and staying adaptable. It's about moving forward confidently even when the path isn't clear, which is essential in the unpredictable world of startups. Venture-Backed & Tech Domain Knowledge: Experience in venture-backed startups and tech, including AI and Large Language Models (LLMs), is a significant advantage. It helps founders navigate the funding process, pitch to investors, and make smart technology choices, particularly in leveraging AI to enhance their products and services. Understanding LLMs allows founders to integrate advanced AI capabilities, improve user interactions, and scale their operations more effectively. This knowledge is crucial for building scalable systems, managing growth, and staying competitive in an increasingly AI-driven market. Note: Please do not pitch us in this application. We don't want to hear why you think your idea is the greatest thing ever. Instead, we want to hear about why you want to partner with us to solve a problem and engage in a process to discover the right solution. If you don't feel like you have a bulletproof, perfect answer to some of these questions, that's normal. Do your best and show your work. We most want to understand who you are: your story, your motivation for being a founder, why you care about the problem you're trying to solve, and how you think about and approach problem-solving. Take this opportunity to tell us who you are and let it serve as a reflective exercise for yourself as a founder.

    Pilot.com, Inc. 4.0company rating

Co-Founder Job 10 miles from Alameda

The Role Pilot's bread and butter is startups. We love startups. We're a startup ourselves. Approximately 60% of our customers are startup companies, ranging from two people in a garage, to startups with hundreds of employees and full-time finance teams. Pilot's value proposition has resonated with startup companies because of this fact-we're a startup and can speak credibly to startup founders about the journey they're going through. Historically, we've had a lot of success working directly with startup accelerators, with very tactical involvement from Pilot's own founders: whether it's speaking to new accelerator batches, hosting office hours, or writing content designed to be helpful to founders. We'd like to do more here, by deepening our relationship with startup accelerators (including accelerators like YC.) You'll work closely with other teams at Pilot-specifically, other folks on our marketing and partnerships teams-but this is also very much initially a green-field "roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty" project. Key Responsibilities * Do things that are useful to startup founders, in a way that reflects well on the Pilot brand-with a particular focus on working with startup accelerators * Creatively think of, and execute on, initiatives that appeal to this audience that also demonstrate strong ROI * Provide clear and organized reporting around the impact and ROI of our initiatives About you * You're a formidable former startup founder * You're scrappy, high-grit, hands-on-you're not afraid to roll up your sleeves (no job too small), and not afraid of ambiguity * You're data-driven and analytical: you'll be able to tell what's working (and what should receive further investment) and what isn't * You have exceptional communication and presentation skills * You viscerally understand the startup founder experience, which is why you can speak to founders credibly * You previously went through YC * Huge bonus points if you're technical About Pilot Pilot launched in 2017 to bring the back office into the modern era. Pilot provides small businesses with dedicated finance experts - which Pilot hires as full-time, U.S.-based employees - who learn the ins-and-outs of their business. Pilot integrates directly with the billing, banking, expense, and payroll systems customers already use. With a special blend of custom software and expert bookkeepers, Pilot delivers accurate, consistent bookkeeping and financial management and tax services that give entrepreneurs the freedom to focus on their business. Pilot has over 1,000 customers and has raised over $170 million in financing from Sequoia, Index Ventures, Stripe, Bezos Expeditions, and Whale Rock. Our investors also include a long list of world-class entrepreneurs, including Patrick and John Collison, Drew Houston, and Diane Greene. Our most recent funding round doubled our valuation to $1.2 billion - Meet Fintech's Newest Unicorn. Why Pilot? * We invest in our employees' development and happiness because our employees are the keys to our success and ensuring happy customers * The opportunity to join a seasoned founding team that has led companies through two prior successful startups and acquisitions (by Oracle and Dropbox). * Flexible vacation/time-off policy * All federal holidays are observed * Competitive benefits package including wellness benefits such as Spring Health and One Medical * Parental leave for birthing or non-birthing parents - 100% pay for 12 weeks * 401(k) plan The base pay range target for the role seniority described in this job description is $159,000 - $215,000 in San Francisco, CA. Final offer amounts depend on multiple factors such as candidate experience and expertise, geographic location, total compensation, and market data. In addition to cash pay, full-time regular positions are eligible for equity, 401(k), health benefits, and other benefits; some of these benefits may be available for part-time or temporary positions. Roboflow, Inc.

Co-Founder Job 10 miles from Alameda

Check out our Series B announcement here! Who We Are Our mission is to make the world programmable. Sight is one of the key ways we understand the world, and soon this will be true for the software we use, too. At Roboflow, we're building the tools, community, and resources needed to make the world programmable with artificial intelligence. Roboflow simplifies building and using computer vision models. Today, over 500,000 developers, including those from half the Fortune 100, use Roboflow's machine learning open source and hosted tools. That includes counting cells to accelerate cancer research, improving construction site safety, digitizing floor plans, preserving coral reef populations, guiding drone flight, and much more. Our team is small relative to our impact, and we believe our user success is our success (not the inverse). A team member summarized: "Roboflow is a company full of giant brains and tiny egos." We find software has a multiplier effect on all roles (not only product and engineering), so Roboflow employs developers across the company in design, sales, customer support, marketing, and beyond. We're supported by great customers and investors, having raised over 23 million from Y Combinator, Craft Ventures, Sam Altman, Lachy Groom, amongst other leading software investors. What We're Looking For Primarily, you like to make great things with passionate colleagues. You are someone that likes to own outcomes, not only inputs. You're motivated by having responsibility and accountability. You're eager to 'do the work,' big and small. You're curious and learning about new technologies, perhaps an early tinkerer with ChatGPT and AI products. You show more than you tell. You're motivated by the question, "How can I improve this?" and have a track record of doing so, even in ways adjacent to your role. Much of our current team is made up of former founders and thrive in the level of autonomy at Roboflow. Maybe you had a side hustle in high school or college. Many Roboflowers have used our tools before joining. One of the best ways to stand out amongst other applicants is to write about something you have built with Roboflow or contribute to one of our open source projects. Who You Are You tell us! What is your superpower? As a former founder, you might have a background in Engineering, Product, Design, Sales, Marketing (or all of them!). We're constantly looking for smart, motivated people to work with and can define a role around your strengths. Within one month, you will… Spend the first week onboarding in person with your manager (you'll come to our NY or SF Hub!) Start building a trusting relationship with your peers, and learning the company structure. Ship a substantial new feature to an end user within your first week Build your first Roboflow computer vision product (if you haven't already) Who You'll Be Working With Our team of ~50 attracts talent like executives that wanted to return to building, founders with a 100M+ exit, Roboflow users turned team members, open source contributors, a cyclist who biked across the United States, prolific high school hackers, a CTO from 100+ engineering organization, amongst many exceptional others. Where You'll Work Roboflow is distributed across the US and Europe. We currently have Hubs in New York City and San Francisco (and plan to open more as we grow density in new cities). We provide opportunities (like team onsites in different cities) and resources (like a $4000/yr travel stipend) to work in person with other team members as much as you'd like, while also supporting remote team members. You can work from one of our Hubs (we offer a relocation bonus), work from home, work at co-working spaces, etc. We want you to work where you work best! When You'll Work Roboflow primarily operates during the daytime hours in the US and there are some synchronous meetings you'll be expected to attend each week. Apart from that, we have a flexible schedule that allows you to work collaboratively with other team members and asynchronously when needed. What You'll Receive To determine your salary, we use a number of market and data-driven salary sources. We review all salaries every six months to ensure we stay in line with the market. The target compensation for this role is $60k-$150k base. In addition to our cash compensation, we offer generous perks and benefits. Below are some of the highlights: * $4000/yr Travel Stipend to travel anywhere anytime to work alongside other Roboflowers * $350/mo Productivity stipend to spend on things that make your work environment more productive, like high-speed internet at home or a co-working space * Cover up to 100% of your health insurance costs for you and your partner or family * Equity in the company so we are all invested in the future of computer vision Below is the interview process you can expect for this role. We are all motivated to work with an exceptional team and don't currently have in-house recruiters. You will be speaking directly with our team about what it's like to work and thrive at Roboflow.
