    Column 4.5company rating

Co-Owner Job 18 miles from Moraga

For companies building financial technology and transforming the financial services space, the biggest bottleneck to their growth and innovation is often the underlying banks and infrastructure stack they rely on. We have spent our careers founding and scaling companies like Plaid, Square, SoFi, Blend, and Affirm, and have seen this problem firsthand - builders and developers needing to partner with traditional banks, and creating API and abstraction layers over the patchwork that is the bank, its core, and many other vendors. All of this results in a complex (and often expensive) banking supply chain involving a user, fintech, BaaS middleware provider, bank, core and the Federal Reserve. At Column, we set out to simplify and fix this. We are a bank and a software company built from the ground up, offering builders and developers technology-forward banking solutions that cut out the hundreds of vendors, middleware providers, and abstraction layers. This means a safer, more transparent, and less costly banking supply chain. Come build with us! We build software and hardware for this mission that enable our customers to maintain maritime vigilance, disrupt misinformation, and collect non-traditional intelligence. In strategic competition, the intelligence and actions that shape conflict occur well before war itself. We build tools to win this fight now. This mission has become urgent. The US and our allies are fighting a war of deterrence with woefully outdated technology. As a team, we believe in public service and that our democracy and government improve only if we put serious, collective effort into improving them, including the technology our government uses. Since our founding in 2019, we have grown to support a wide range of missions and capabilities across all U.S. service branches, multiple combatant commands, partner nations, and the intelligence community. Company Our mission is to be the technology backbone for strategic competition against China. These missions - including intelligence, information operations, special activities, perception management, and deception - are happening today and their success or failure will determine if we go to war tomorrow. We've been on the front lines of these missions since 2019, and have grown to support a wide range of missions across all US service branches, multiple combatant commands, partner nations, interagency stakeholders, and the intelligence community. We deploy both hardware and software products that span collection, planning / assessments, and effects. We've grown from $3M in run-rate revenue in 2021 to $80M in run-rate revenue today. About the role This role will be the 0-to-1 owner for high ops priorities and other special projects for the executive leadership team. It will be shaped depending on your skillset. Over the last few years, we've experienced a lot of growth, >25xing our revenue and ~5xing our customer base. You will be critical to building the foundation needed to support this growth. The salary range for this position is $150,000 - $170,000 cash + performance-based bonus + equity + 401K match. Within the range, individual pay is determined by experience, relevant education, and/or training. On equity, our valuation has tripled from ~$500M in 2022 to $1.5B in October 2024; with our defense prime aspirations, we hope to 15x this. We also recently did our first employee secondary around for people at Vannevar >3 years so they had the option to liquidate some of their equity, and hope to facilitate this every 1-2 years. Other notable benefits include: Health, dental, and vision insurance 100% remote first culture.
