Job Summary : Group Fitness Instructors/Coaches are primarily responsible for conducting effective group fitness classes, educating patrons on basic fitness knowledge and maintaining a safe and enjoyable workout environment for class participants. Group Fitness Instructors are effective and fun verbal communicators and provide excellent customer service to all patrons.
Job Requirements :
Maintain current CPR Certification.
Nationally Accredited Aerobic Certification AFAA, ACE or NASM preferred. May be a specialty certification in Boxing, Kickboxing or Cross Training. Valid Yoga, Zumba, Resume listing teaching experience, or Pilates Certification also acceptable.
Certifications must be on file with Human Resources at time of Hire/Rehire
Experience teaching HIIT, Small Group Training programs, large Group Fitness programming.
Responsibilities:
Instruct safe, FUN, MOTIVATING, and effective exercise classes.
Demonstrate knowledge of our Core Values, and model behavior in accordance with Company expectations.
Follow all instructor payroll procedures, including Subbing time and attendance, in relation to class instructor changes and communication with Club Management and Group Fitness Coordinator.
100% compliance utilizing app workout programming, including scheduling, and attendance tracking.
Be a Cheerleader for all FiiT & Crunch Fitness platforms - including MyZone, Dotfit Supplements, Health Coach and Nutritional Programs.
Responsible for growing their assigned classes to capacity and inspiring members, and meeting company goals as outlined in compensation plan.
Always maintain a winning attitude.
Maintain a positive social media presence - which includes club and personal promotion.
Refer guests and build following.
Follow all club/facility policies and including any items discussed in the Employee Handbook.
Follow Clean Team cleaning requirements - and complete checklists after class.

Individuals in these positions are responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the OSAA, adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of Springfield High School, Springfield School District and the OSAA. Successful candidates will possess the following qualifications:
Coaching/advising experience at the high school level in the sport/activity for which you are applying;
Knowledge of and experience in the sport/activity for which you are applying;
Ability and experience working with high school students;
Ability and experience working with parents, fellow coaches and school district staff;
Effective and positive communication skills;
Ability to work within school district guidelines and budget;
Valid First Aid card;
Availability for daily practices and matches, or activities;
Fundraising knowledge and/or capabilities;
Understanding of OSAA rules and regulations;
Good organizational skills;
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check;
Ability and commitment to practice cultural competency and demonstrate respect for diversity.
Salary:
Stipend will be based on the type of sport/activity and previous paid assistant coaching/activity leading experience in the sport/activity for which you are applying.
