Reporting to the Head Football Coach, the Assistant Coach - Outside Linebackersis responsible for all administrative and organizational aspects of the defense, specifically the Safeties, Nickels, and Field. The Assistant Football Coach will support the Head Football Coach in the duties of successfully operating NCA&T's defensive football program, including but not limited to coordination of defensive schemes/personnel/staff, recruiting student-athletes, planning practice sessions/game preparation/game-day coaching, monitoring the student-athletes academically and managing game day responsibilities. The Assistant Coach must operate within the guidelines of an NCAA Division I football program and within the mission of the University and its philosophy of intercollegiate athletics. The Assistant Coach will guide and actively encourage student-athletes to succeed academically, acquire a degree and represent the University with the highest integrity. Ability to work in concert with Head Coach and other Assistant Coaches to lead and motivate student-athletes. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. A working knowledge of NCAA & CAA rules and regulations.
