* Assumes responsibility for a particular aspect of the football program as assigned by the Head Football Coach, planning short and long terms objectives under the leadership of the head football coach, demonstrating technical expertise in the basics of the sport, and teaching the fundamentals and advanced level skills and game strategies to student-athletes, recruiting players including determining which schools to visit and which athletes to recruit, recommending the selection of team members, supervising practice sessions, scouting future opponents, providing expert advice to the head coach and team members, providing guidance or mentoring to student athletes throughout the academic year, coordinating with the Academic Assistance staff members, and monitoring academic progress of participating student-athletes.
* Protects the integrity of the football program and the reputation of the intercollegiate athletics program of the University by ensuring that recruiting activities, student-athlete eligibility determination, scholarships and financial aid programs, scheduled practice sessions, and related activities governed by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) are in compliance with NCAA rules and regulations as well as applicable conference rules and University policies.
* Reduces the likelihood of sports-related injuries or the aggravation of such injuries during practice sessions and scheduled contests by being knowledgeable of the injuries sustained in the sport and proper prevention methods, supervising appropriate pre-training session and pre-contest preparations and warm ups, and referring injured student-athletes to qualified sports medicine personnel or athletic trainers.
* Promotes a positive image of the intercollegiate athletics program and the University through participation in community and professional organizations, representing the University at professional meetings as required, promoting participation in community service activities by student athletes, and supporting established athletic fund-raising goals by actively participating in fund-raising events and promotional activities for intercollegiate athletics, assists in the formulation of team and department fundraising activities, as directed by the Head Football Coach and the Director of Athletics.

Position:
The Row House Lead Coach will lead the Row House Coaching team and up to 25 participants per class through the Row House experience.
Responsibilities:
Coach between 8+ classes each week once schedule has matured.
Perform 30-60-90 day performance reviews for all new coaches

Work with the general manager to create and maintain regular weekly class schedule.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, organize, and supervise practices and competitions for the VCHS golf team.

* Emphasize academic achievement, character development, and positive behavior both on and off the course.
* Ensure compliance with all VCHS, district, and NCHSAA policies, procedures, and eligibility requirements.
* Collaborate with the Athletic Director to schedule matches, secure transportation, and manage budgets.
* Communicate effectively with parents, athletes, staff, and community members.
* Promote safety and ensure proper supervision of student-athletes during practices, matches, and team travel.
* Maintain inventory and care of golf equipment, uniforms, and supplies.

Qualifications

JV Baseball Head Coach & JV Baseball Assistant Coach (part-time)

Durham Academy is accepting applications for a part-time MS baseball head coach and a part-time MS baseball assistant coach (grades 7-8). The season runs from mid-February through early May. Both positions are seasonal and report to the Varsity Baseball Head Coach and the Director of Athletics.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the instruction of our JV baseball team to include:
Running tryouts and team selection
Creating and executing game strategy
Distributing equipment and uniforms in conjunction with the Athletics Office
Explaining rules and regulations
In charge of supervising student-athletes
Drive a minibus to all road games
Communicate regularly via email with student-athletes and parents about logistics and updates
Regular communication and collaboration with the Varsity baseball head coach
Ideal candidates will have prior scholastic coaching experience. Candidates should expect a regular weekday practice commitment that typically runs from 3:30-5:00 p.m. plus two or three games per week. Most road games are not more than 45 minutes away from Durham Academy.
